I noted that the press are telling Boris to deliver on his promises, this is interesting, as once he starts trying to, suddenly the story will change to "There isn't the money due to the fault of the EU" once again, even the cap on spending for infrastructure in the North is to be lifted.

At 7.20 OJ posted his video. At 7.28 you posted your response. The video lasts around 40 minutes . You obviously watched it in fast forward without sound. Sort of your normal attitude to studying things. Well done OG. Shown your true colours.
If you had any sense at all you would have at least waited duration of video before spouting. I dont think you watched any of it. Like most sensible intelligent people he (Mathew Goodwin) does see plus points of both sides. Unlike yourself, for obvious reasons.
You, flecc and the whole of labour party really should start listening to what such folk have to say. If they dont we will have Tories indefinitely.

I never watched the video, as i said in an earlier post I'm more that happy Labour is miles away from power, and for some reason you are totally obsessed with this blame game fetish of yours. You forget that if people were willing to vote for Boris and trusted him, you simply can't reason with that level of stupidity.

It follows that I'm not interested in others accounts of why a true Labour socialist party lost. I know as well as them or better why.
You'd understand me better if you noted what I post, remember, I've never belonged to any political party nor ever been a follower of one. And again as I've told you, I've voted Tory more times than Labour.
I vote each time for one or more purposes, not for a permanent doctrine either way in our present system. At present I don't like the way we've solely had Tory governance under the Tories and Blair's pseudo-Toryism for so long. It's unhealthy and the poor state of this nation and Brexit shows why.
Eventually it will change and the longer the Tories stay in power, the sooner that will be. Replacing them with a softer version meanwhile will only prolongue what I don't want.

I did not post that Goodwin was wrong, in fact I assumed he was right, which is why I didn't want to listen to what I already knew. Remember I said I also knew why Labour lost, enough people have chanted from that same prayer book after all.

Farage and boris are our political icons, representing our cultural slant towards xenophobia and corruption. We didn't get to be the world hub for financial "services" (or slavery) by accident. I've given up on spitting against the wind a long time ago. As a dual national who speak more than one european language and dislike patriotism I'm happy to give up on uk plc. It may never find it's way back to a progressive cosmopolitan society and is becoming a place I sincerely do not recognize.

This does not surprise me much - he's not interested in any other views other than his own - he's not open to changing his mind but only seeks confirmation of his already held views.
Shame really as Godwin (the speaker in the video) is not particularly pro-Brexit (and definitely not anti-Labour) - plus of course you soon realise just how wide-ranging and deep is his knowledge of the subject.
Christopher Hitchens in a famous quote could have been talking about OG:

But in a way - I am falling for his con - for he (OG) is a con artist. And what is it he is trying to con us out of? Well it's quite obvious - he's lonely and wants attention - he wants our time.

Thus he misses the millions and millions of ordinary people who had genuine concerns about how many people were entering the country and changing the culture way faster than the country was able to absorb and integrate.
