I think he’s going to get the deal through. Minister for anything that’s easy to do, Sarah Champion has said she will now back it. I think there will be more like her too. Get it through, keep my seat, continue to campaign for a greater variety of bra sizes for pregnant goats, or similar.
Dear oh dear. Why do you think Sarah Champion is going to vote for the deal - along with a shed load of other Labour MPs?

Because their constituents voted leave.

In her case in Rotherham it was 68.3% for leaving.

68.3%

It will just take a few others like her with a shred of integrity and this thing will get through.

The Labour party though otherwise - what a joke.

I don’t think you should read too much into this. In general, the people of Barnsley speak with a ridiculous accent, the sound of which equalls the stupidity of the people living there.

They don’t know why they want Brexit, what Brexit means or how they will benefit from Brexit. They are just plain old plenty stupid them Barnsley folk.
And you wonder why you lost.

They are stupid in Barnsley. I was listening to a radio program in which a reporter was stopping people in Barnsley and asking them why they wanted to leave the EU and what they expected to gain. They didn’t know, they didn’t understand and they couldn’t answer. That makes them extremely stupid, as equally stupid as their voices.

I think we have all lost, the Brexidiots to a much greater extent because their jobs will become less secure, stuff will costs more and the retirement age will rise faster. All the negative aspects of Brexit will impact hardest on low skilled manual workers, and they make up the bulk of those who voted to leave.

Just how much evidence do you need?

I guess only 5 or 6 will. Some may abstain though.
Bojo deal falls far too short of Labour's objectives.

I listened to that too and agree. It's not the only vox pop I've heard from the north with similar views. I can only think isolationism prompts their Brexit impulses, not wanting anything to do with Johnny Foreigner.

I thought the the prime mover was 'charity begins at home' - the kind of: what do we get for our money? if it's not obvious, they are not buying it.

I’m not convinced about the Johnny Foreigner bit, maybe it there to an extent.

I think that they have been brainwashed into believing that somehow, by some magical and impossible to define process, they will see more money in their pockets for less work. They can’t tell you how this will happen, but they truly believe they are going to prosper in a way that they can’t put into words.

The reality is, and there is evidence of this smacking you in the face wherever you look, they are going to be exploited and will be working harder and longer for less spending power. But they won.

Bojo may win the meaningful vote tomorrow but if Letwin motion passes, he'll still need an extension/

Letwin motion:

That, in light of the new deal agreed with the European Union, which enables the United Kingdom to respect the result of the referendum on its membership of the European Union and to leave the European Union on 31 October with a deal, this house has considered the matter but withholds approval unless and until implementing legislation is passed.

Are you saying remain lost because the people of Barnsley are stupid?
It would appear that is what you are implying.
Let me remind you, whatever attitudes were taken by remainers happened AFTER THE EVENT.
That means they could not have had any effect of the outcome of the referendum, despite your pretense that they so.
And as icing on the cake 50 Hertz was my main sparring partner in his defence of leaving the EU, he has been able to apply logic and good sense to the problem and revised his opinion.
But then he is not a fan of the MAGA campaign or the odious Adam Smith Institute as some are.

Hey OG! What fun huh? Well. Sort of. Everybody told Boris the EU would not re-open negotiations - like they REALLY told him. Guess what? The EU re-opened negotiations! Wow. And he got a new deal. OK - so like I said weeks back its a fudge - but then most negotiated things are. Its not quite a full Brexit but its pretty close. So here we are. And tomorrow our elected MPs get to vote! The Chinese curse I am reminded of..... to live in interesting times. Well. Let's face it. These ARE interesting times.

Actually they didn't did offer anything new did they? they simply went back to a suggestion over Ireland May rejected and he declared he would never accept, in other words his cunning plan was to surrender to the EU!
Guess what ? you fell for it, now isn't that a surprise?
And in fact as we now know his intention is to mess around and botch up the negotiations to get a No Deal situation in December.
Lets sum up what happened
We don't have a new deal, we have Mays deal with it's backside painted Blue and he capitulated to the EU on Ireland, losing in the process Northern Ireland in the long term.
That's your idea of a victory is it?
