That sums up how I feel about it.
The referendum results were pretty much even, and I'm sure that many wished they had not voted to leave now the potential problems are being seen.
Drip, drip bad news and forecasts over a longish period and a decision not to leave will most likely be the result.
the EU is not without its problems. A core of Eurozone countries want to form a federated state, that will over time monopolise decision making.
I would have liked a soft brexit like Norway has.

‘Brexit will be the cause’ of possible Brompton cost increase in UK
Folding bikes manufacturer Brompton has reduced the prices of its products across the globe, but hinted that it may be forced to increase UK prices as a result of Brexit.

With some bike companies expecting to increase 2017 prices by up to 15 percent in the UK, the devaluation of the pound against the dollar, euro and other currencies has actually benefited the London-based company in its overseas operations, with it being able to reduce prices in North America by eight percent and five percent in Europe.

However, Brompton imports material to make its bikes from across the world and it has seen a rise in costs. Therefore, it admits that it may have to adjust its UK prices accordingly.

Cue the Hysterical laughter at their all knowing CEO who insisted "Brexit is a Golden opportunity for the business"?
That is if you are happy to charge home customers more to make profits abroad.
The Brexit voters will love that!

but (and I think it's a whopper of a but) Norway has a different economy from the uk

we provide services to the eu, and I don't believe the uk economy can restructure into a Nordic type economy

There is no need to restructure our economy.
Norway retains full access to the Single Market, pays a reduced contribution, accepts the ECJ in matter related to the Single Market but can choose which directives it wants to incorporate into its own laws.
The Pound needs not to crash the way it did if Mrs May wanted a Norway style agreement.

Works for the USA, Canada, Australia etc. They are able to incorporate numerous individual state freedoms and I've no doubt Europe could do the same once union is achieved.

And since this is inevitably going to happen why are we missing the chance to be part of it?

I think it's better to rejoin the EU later when the time is right. Judging by the behaviour of our MEPs at the moment, the EU can sort themselves out faster without our MEPs.

Ladies & Gentlemen, please stand for the President of the Divided States of America?

I think Clinton screwed up by appearing on stage with a variety of celebs, jesters and mistrals. It all seemed very unpleasant against the back drop of the email situation. She should have presented an unflappable and dignified front throughout.

Dollar v Pound?

the dollar is falling right now but I am sure it will settle very soon.
Trump promised huge spending program and tax cuts, so the pound will have a respite $1.25 maybe.
It's the failure of centre ground politics and the triumph of antiestablishmentarianism.

Excuse me for a moment, I'm just nipping out to stock up on Marmite and E-Bikes. :)

I'm sure you are right, it will hit a low and then recover a bit.

You'll like this one, tillson!
"Chinese state media says that Donald Trump as president is what happens if people have democracies. The state-run Xinhua News Agency has said that the likely election of the controversial Republican candidate just shows how America's democracy brings about crisis, in contrast to the stability of China's authoritarian rule."
Ah well smile while you can I always say!

But it's the Russians who show the way to political stability, a president and a prime minister who just swap jobs every so often.

And rather weirdly, the Russian public seem to like it that way.

Looking back at it now, it may have started years ago in Poland with Solidarity.
Little people realising that the ruling elites are past their sell by dates.
Then came other Eastern European states, the Arab Spring, Brexit and now Trump.
The World is slowly changing.
I have met people who question why this perpetual need for 'Growth'
Only the Elites and MegaCorps really benefit.
Little people lose their jobs.
Quality of life is becoming more important to people rather than wealth.
