From the BBC
"Judges could need democratic controls, says UKIP leadership contender."

To which the answer has to be UKIP is a subversive organisation and should be banned.
Welcome to the Fourth Reich indeed.

Big business will teach this government a lesson. Anyone who has worked for a mult-national company knows how easy it is to divert profits to another location. They will have realised that this government are very vulnerable to threats and blackmail,we don't know what Nissan achieved but they were obviously happy to expand here. It won't be long before Honda,JLR,Ford will want the same treatment, then comes the city of London.
There is an article in the Guardian saying that there are no benefit caps for multis,in comparison to the £100 million saved by capping benefits.
Perhaps this is what May means when she says 'in full Brexit'.....she will be paying out subsidies to keep industry here 'in full'.....But where is the money coming from?

Really OG what did you think this brexit thing was all about? Getting rid of silly EU worker and environmental protection so businesses can get back to what they are all about: making the rich richer. Back to the Great in Great Britain, the industrial revolution, child labour...
Oddly for some reason the thought had occurred to me, but the Press have been so fulsome in their promises, this cannot be true.....
Sorry, laughing hysterically again, must watch that.....o_O

I did, and in fact they built a factory in China, transferred the production there, but tried to sell the inferior products here for the same price to maximise profits.
And went bust.
Fortunately after i had retired :D

he is poison.
Yes, he is Trex. Of course, he is not alone but he epitomises the tory party, as did his disgusting father.

These are the kind of people who have waged war against the lower classes through the centuries. For them, expressions like democracy, human rights, civil rights, fairness, trade unions, health & safety and, surprise surprise, the EU are anathema.

This government, particularly Theresa May,are frightened of any adverse publicity concerning Brexit.
Look how quickly and secretly they hushed up Nissan....the headlines NISSAN QUITS SUNDERLAND BECAUSE OF BREXIT....would have started its death,so a deal had to be struck. It's common knowledge within the auto industry that the deal guaranteed no tariffs.
They had no choice really it was either underwrite the tariffs or no tariffs. As Nissan is pretty much owned by Renault and Renault is in the pocket of the French government, you can be sure that the French government knows the deal and so does every EU negotiator.
So much for us trying to achieve the best possible deal, the Nissan deal has guaranteed that we will have to stay in the customs union to avoid tariffs.
As the terms of the custom Union is that we are all in agreement to import tariffs then negotiating free trade deals with the rest of the world is a waste of time...the cold shoulder that May and team received in their trip to India reinforces that, don't forget that JLR is owned by Tata,so the Indian government knows the deal and look how quick Australia lost interest in us immediately after the Nissan deal.
The other effect of the Nissan deal is that any big business has only to threaten job losses or movement of people (tax losses) and this government will roll over to avoid anything negative about Brexit.
This is illustrated by the government's luke warm condemnation of the disgusting media treatment of the judges, they supported the attack by the press against the judiciary, because they were frightened that the press would accuse them of negative Brexit.
What concerns me about this is that MP's will be whipped into making decisions about Article 50,many against their conscience, even though they know that Brexit is economic suicide for our country because they don't want to go against Theresa May's obsession with carrying Brexit forward at any cost,to avoid the wrath of right wing fascist thugs lead by Nigel Farage.
It all so reminds me of the rise of fascism in Germany in the 1930's,it is very concerning and may lead to civil unrest in our country and a contagion effect in the rest of Europe. You only have to read comments on the internet after any negative Brexit articles to see that these right wingers could easily turn violent, their venom stoked up by the Farage's and Redwoods of this world.
This is turning into a modern civil war, triggering Article 50 could be a flashpoint that turns rhetoric into violence, for sure we are a very divided country and no compromise is possible, get the riot shields ready this is going to get nasty.

it seems that way to me too. Without gauaranteed access to the Single Market, May has no other bartering cards than cheap labours, state aids and deregulations.
A lot of brexit voters have low income, low skills and rely on benefits to make ends meet. More money to multinationals means less money for their benefits. Deregulations usually mean less protection for workers and private investors.
brexit is a bad deal for all of us.

A lesson on how not to lie convincingly
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37904703
Toblerone are reducing the amound of chocolate and other ingredients due to rising costs.
They insist this has nothing to do with Brexit.
"
A spokeswoman for Mondelez acknowledged that the foreign exchange rate was currently "not favourable", but added: "This change wasn't done as a result of Brexit."

However, she was unable to clarify whether the change in shape affected only bars sold in the UK and not the rest of Europe."

Must use the same spin doctors as May and co!

that type of replies may be more the norm because vendors do not want to be accused of victimizing brexit voters.

Ironically,I have just read that the EU have insisted on site of the agreement made between the UK government and Nissan to ensure that it does not breach EU law with regard to illegal state aid or inducements.
Looks like Greg Clarke is going to have to produce the letter, every CEO knows its contents so he might as well show it to the EU.

One suspects the story about the nasty press, judges, democratic freedoms and rights is about to be kicked into the long grass to make way for this far more important story about the nasty press, royals and their democratic freedoms and rights. How convenient that this matter suddenly emerges now!

Isn't this the 'royal' who likes to dress up in Nazi uniform and has a soft spot for an American woman.....or am I thinking of another royal from when I was much younger?

I thought about producing 2 price lists, one for Remainers and one for Brexiters, the latter 20% more expensive, hehe
Only joking!!!!!!
KudosDave
Now, I know you're only joking Dave. You're such a softy, I bet you'd let forum 'Brexidiots' have 5% discount off that 20% increased price!

That would be good for business, good for the economy and good for Britain!

Now there is a career opportunity! Smuggling normal Toblerone bars into the UK! "Man caught with 25 kg of Toblerone bars in suitcase", I too will be on the front page of the Daily Mail one day!

With all the nonsense that has surfaced since the referendum, particularly with regard to parliamentary authority, the judiciary and democratic process, I think it's time to remind ourselves exactly who makes the real decisions in our lives.

The guy who holds the purse strings inevitably determines what goes. And who might that be, you may ask!

How about this guy's family and direct descendants?

BIRMINGHAM, UK – Two of the UK’s oldest bike names, Claud Butler and Dawes, are to merge under the name Tandem Group Cycles, was announced recently. This news comes only one month after it was made public that parent company Tandem Group plc had made staff redundant, a company statement saying the lay-offs were due to, “a challenging environment….exacerbated by the weakness in sterling following the outcome of the Brexit.”

That sums up how I feel about it.
The referendum results were pretty much even, and I'm sure that many wished they had not voted to leave now the potential problems are being seen.
Drip, drip bad news and forecasts over a longish period and a decision not to leave will most likely be the result.
