Not necessarily, an alliance of the others in a coalition attains 51 to that 46. If either the Greens or the SNP don't join, the alliance would still probably lead.
.
The problem with a pact between Labour and the lib dems is the seats are hard to split. The Tories know they can't win strong Labour seats in the north. The lib dems have started to believe they can take seats from every body.

Not without justification. In the 1997 GE they won 46 seats, some unexpected enough to cause a real upset.

Given how sick of the two main parties that so many are now, that could easily be repeated or bettered.

Me too, more than considering, I'm going to this time, hoping a lot of us will feel the same way. The two main parties deserve a nasty shock.
.
Me too!
To misquote Churchill
"If the Devil himself came out against Brexit I would give him a favourable reference in the house of commons"

You can always vote them out next time,

Brexit and a dog have this in common
Brexit is for life not just for Christmas.
But Governments come and go.

At last, you finally get the reason why I voted to leave, We can vote a new government in every 5 years (or less) . We had one chance to leave the EU as they head towards a super state with it's own army.
you can vote for a party like the BXP which will take the UK out, in the same way that Jo Swinson will cancel A50 given a chance.
unless you think next time we vote, people won't vote to leave the EU.

I wonder if some Scots were saying similar things things when we roped them into our union. Many of them seem keen to exit GB now, though they've waited around 250 years to try.

Maybe we should ask the EU for a 200 year delay to article 50 in the hope it might run smoother then?

If there is a pact (libdem/PC) I might have to choose PC. Which would be fine - I just hope there are enough like-minded to ensure a tory doesn't win.

And a superstate is the way forward for us and the rest of Europe, it's that or get left behind by history.

What are you afraid of? don't you see the ambiguity of your statement?
On the one hand you fear becoming part of a European superstate with it's own army that we could be a major part of.
Instead preferring to be a backward nation parked next to what could be an enormously powerful foe?

That is not a very clever plan is it?

Sorry but standing by while our previous friends and allies become a nuclear capable superpower right on our doorstep that could crush us like a bug is covered by a single word
......Stupid.......

Says the man with no brain who can't see the obvious, tell me clever boy, how do we gain by being next door to a superpower that may not be friendly through some event or other?
Come on explain the advantage to us..
