Playing Devils advocate, If Boris does a deal with the EU (tying us to them in someway) What's to stop a future government changing the deal ? The USA had signed up to all sorts of deals (climate change,Nato, tariffs etc.) but Trump just seems to change them.
No Government can commit the next in principle

He is very concerned that his readership of a million might think of him as a cockwomble like we do.
Tell me fingers how long are you going to keep prepeating your crazy idea that a million people have read this thread, and post trash like this last post?

For the information of people who joined after fingers made the suggestion, that a million people viewed this thread because I noted the counter had registered a million hits.
He then went on to suggest 300 people viewed the thread fifty times a day.
Yes I agree that is pretty deranged , but being an idiot he keeps on from time to time repeating the lie.
He thought his juvenile joke was funny at the time, and he still hasn't grown up.
It gets boring having to make him look foolish every time, but he never learns.

The real problem he has is simply this
Brexit is proving a disaster and he is ashamed to admit he made a mistake, his vanity won't let him.
Hence we get these juvenile comments.
And he can't accept he was suckered by promises that he never checked for truthfulness.

When you are the richest and most powerful country in the world you can more or less do anything. The UK is no where near this position so we will have to stick to the agreements we sign up to.

I think the world has been sort of lucky over the last 50 odd years, that USA presidents have more or less stuck to the rules of the game. Trump is now changing all that probably due to the fact that China is eventually going to overtake them as the richest country in the world unless they do something about it.

Bojo will make it up as he stumbles along.
Nobody can seriously offer him anything. They just have to wait until he hits some walls from Farage, the ERG, his backbenchers or some ex wifes.
I'd be most worried about the x-wives.

There is a lot to agree with about that.

Though I am not convinced we (as the UK) have to stick to the agreements we make. On that I disagree with you. The rest fine.

But there will always be moments when we see that an agreement we made does not work in our favour - and sometimes simply backing out is the advantageous thing to do.

There are bound to be such moments.

Of course one does not normally speak of this in public.

But then - with this lot...... let's be honest...... how far can they spread this out?

Lucky for us not too far.

I still think Boris is desperate for a deal, any deal, to prove he tried
He is not desperate. He wants one. Of course. Imagine the prestige if he could pull that off? Fc uk. That would be quite something. To pull of a deal acceptable to Farage on the one hand - and Corbyn and the LDs etc on the other. Wow. He'd be almost Superman if he could do that.

I doubt it myself.

And - lest we not forget - if he pulls his punches and goes for the BINO - well - sorry - but he is fc uked.

Boris has only one way out - being willing to go for a no-deal. He has to stick to this. May was not willing to. She gave in way too early. If she'd have stuck to that speech where was it Saltzburg? - then all would have been fine.

But she didn't.

And so we are now here.

In terms of their impact on global CO2 - are you lacking some basic understanding/agreement here?

FFS.
Oh I know - somebody will come back that 'its not about CO2 it's about Biodiversity'. There's one in every College class yeah I know.

We were not discussing 'biodiversity' which you'll never guess I also have an opinion about.

I thought we were on the whole CO2 amazon is the lungs of the world thread.

I have been known to have been wrong though.

To make you sad.
Ha.

I suppose they will now argue that 'making people sad' is wrong and bad and you should - Fingers - feel bad about that. I mean - you should feel guilty. This is their aim. To make you feel guilty. They will never - ever - ever - admit this. To do so would be to utterly blow their cover.

Of course. The reality. Is that neither myself nor Fingers do any of this to make you sad. No. You are already sad. We're just pointing out the obvious.

Now.

If you ever manage to digest that.....

Perhaps we can talk.

Just out of curiosity, is this post actually directed at anybody?
Or is it a Santa letter?
"They " and "you" are hardly targets are they, and just a gentle reminder, fingers actually posted that the intention of his post was "to make you sad"
Are you now saying that is in some way laudable? that makes you as daft as he is.

If you ever digest the fact that clearly the pair of you are here simply to act the fool and its time you stopped and made a pragmatic case for Brexit
perhaps we can talk.

Stupid fuc***g question. It's not can he - of course he 'can' - it's will he?

Why can't they ask the right fuc*****g questions!
did you noticed the bit 'that parliament will approve'?
Of course few people think that Bojo will get parliament support for anything he does.
