The EU won’t fold. No one is expecting that. But we will not be treated on the same equivalent as say the likes of Ireland.

If that’s the case we walk.

If the EU and France want to try and use the ports as some sort of revenge? Punishment? I’m sure we can work a way round this.

Christ. Qatar did it. And they have one port. we have hundreds. Countries will want to get on board and trade once we leave have no fear. Believe it or not we do have friends in the world.

I worry it’s you that is buying the propaganda. I still maintain nothing much will change.

The EU will cede some frills. The pound will bounce up. Brexit people will say see. Then something will happen and the pound will dip and remainists will cry the end of the world is coming.

Rinse and repeat.

Ireland may suffer but end of the day you only have your pm to blame. It would have been nice to have a friend but your lot chose the path of most resistance.
You are still continuing the conversation of victimhood and punishment. It is still the same narrative. Because the EU won't ,and in fact cannot give the UK everything it wants, then the EU is punishing the UK,is a tabloid fantasy. If you want to wallow in it, no-one can stop you.
Now I have noted yet again that the same memes of Leo as the useful idiot for an EU elite is again doing the rounds. The Irish Mail newspaper, .. owned by guess who? is again trying it on. That untruth has not worked the last three times, and it won't work now. Nor will the linked one of trying to separate Ireland from the EU concensus
There has been unwavering support for Leo's stance ,shared by all shades of political opinion and the general public,at a level which is unprecedented in Irish life.
I do hope the sterling will bounce up a bit..our hard pressed food exporters to the UK are suffering, and presumably the UK customers are suffering the reduction in choice.

Literally nothing has changed here. No more no less suffering.

We've bought a few more fridges. That's about it.

we haven't left yet though.
I reckon we'll need at least 2 years in transition to negotiate a new deal.

Most likely. Maybe even longer.

But we will rumble along. Not a lot will change. Some new consumer choices will become available. Some may wither.

It's a great time to be alive.

Yes its a great time to be alive, when one considers the alternative.
But can you not accept that it was SUPPOSED to be a slam dunk, easy peasy arrangement with everything better than before, not a* we weathered the blitz, we can handle this".
I thought it was Catholics who believed in penance and hair shirts.

I don't think anyone with a brain thought it was ever going to be a smooth process.

I doubt 10% of people who voted out thought they would wake up up the next day with everything sorted with no disruption. Yet still we voted to leave the project.

We simply do not wish to be governed by a Franco and mainly Germanic pact. We are not Ireland. We are not sheep. You've been governed by bigger countries all your existence pretty much. We haven't.

It feels....uncomfortable.

It's not about the value of the pound or some handout from the EU (which we gave them) to build a seal sanctuary or some climbing frames. It's about not believing a superstate is for us.

No it wasn't that's an urban myth and we had two referendums on the subject, the second one on the treaty.
You have been mis sold a lie

And this line is an absolute classic of utter nonsense
" It's about not believing a superstate is for us.
From the nation that built the biggest Empire in world history.

Does not the Saxon in Anglo Saxon not refer to a region in Northern Germany?. Were not the Angles not another German crowd?. Were the Romans a myth!, Were the Danes not in control of Aengleland, for three hundred years, Did the French ..in the guise of the Normans, not invade and scarify Aengland for another two hundred years, before fully taking over, and setting their beady eyes on fertile lands in Ireland . Was not the Tudor dynasty not Welsh, then followed by Scots, then did not the merchants of London not buy a Dutch King, and when that line ran out buy one from Hannover in Germany,?

Fingers, I know you are young, but you must get a grasp of you own countries history.

Prince Andrew photographed inside the house of a convicted sex offender waving goodbye to very young girls leaving the property. That’s not a good image.

I wonder how many more people need to be silenced in order to stop Andy becoming known as Prince Peado?

JC tells remainers to back him, make him PM, while he does not campaign for remain, not now, not in the next GE.

Does it make any sense to you?

The man is a clown. He’s got an open goal but keeps missing.

The problem is that he isn’t being true to himself. In his heart he’s a leaver, but he’s trying to pretend that he’s a remainer because he thinks that by backing Remain, it will give him his best shot at No 10 and all the mentalness that goes with it.

He’s presenting the image of a dithering idiot who’s not trustworthy. He should FO and let someone else step up who can form a credible opposition.

I have commented on it before, but to show how important the UK figures in contemporary European market thinking, I refer to a quintessential British product.. the electric kettle. The instruction booklet comes in French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Tunisian and Moroccan. The only major language left out is German. In fairness there is a little English text on the box saying electric kettle.
