What about Cressida then - is she in charge of national police or just London...
I added a sentence above, your post probably crossed that addition.

The Metropolitan force has always had major national responsibilities in respect of major crime, terrorism and complex investigations.

Prime Minister’s Summit on Serious Youth Violence
1 - 4 April 2019, 10 Downing Street
Attendees
Rt Hon Andy Burnham – Mayor of Greater Manchester
It seems you posted fake news, Sadiq Khan was there in your list of attendees! Also my Croydon, London MP Sarah Jones, who leads on the knife crime subject.

But not Mohammed Azim, Mayor of Birmingham, which has by far the worst knife crime problem in England and Wales.

That was May's Summit in April - where Sadiq Kahn was present hence why he appears in the photo I posted.

From the doc I posted it also has Andy Burnham as an attendee in April (not in pic) when you seemed to claim he wasn't there.

"just as Manchester's Mayor Andy Burnham wasn't, nor any other city mayor."

From photos of BJs latest summit no sign of Sadiq Khan but Roy Sefa-Attakora and Cressida are both again seated close to PM.

I don't understand what you are getting at, you seem to be confusing local mayors with national roles?

Both Khan and Burnham were at the April meeting, May's choice to have key local figures it seems, but not at Johnson's latest one.

So my original answer applies, Johnson having national figures only at his meeting.

You just seem to be having an unwarranted go at Sadiq Khan.

Government launches new 'spin' unit to try to quash stories about risks of no-deal Brexit

 The Ministry of "Truth" is born:eek::eek:
Pity there wasn't such a thing regarding straight bananas/cucumbers, and all the other unfounded crap about the EU put out by BJ and others.

(Not really saying we want propaganda ministries, but something needed saying.)

Calais boss says Brexit chaos fears are bullshyte.. Allegedly
And in the same article they refer to this!
"
NO DEAL, NO CALAIS France threatens to block Calais port to the UK if we refuse to pay £39bn divorce bill in a No Deal Brexit scenario
The move would hugely damage our economy by squeezing the crucial Dover-Calais trade route
EXCLUSIVE
So what are we to make of it all?

Send our government to France on some pretext (fact-finding tours always used to be popular), then block Calais and all the airports and other seaports. (Don't for one minute contemplate BJ seeking out Franky Zapata...)

their fishermen will block the port if Bojo takes us out on no deal brexit.
Belgian fishermen and Dutch fishermen will do same.
See how long Bojo will resist phoning a friend. That is if he has any in Europe.
Bojo may beat remainer MPs but reality will tie his hands better than any legislation.

Be sure that anything Bolton suggests is to his/their benefit, not ours.

Donald Trump’s national security adviser, John Bolton, has said Britain and the US could sign sector-by-sector free-trade deals prior to a comprehensive trade deal as a way of helping the UK cope with the consequences of leaving the EU on 31 October without a deal.

Bolton said the mini-deals, focusing on areas such as the car and other industries, could be negotiated quickly, and would receive overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress. He was speaking after meeting Boris Johnson and senior British officials in London on Monday.

Treachery, which is the defining characteristic of the French. It’s deeply routed in the shame and embarrassment they have suffered over the past 100 years. We are well on the way to equalling them.
