It has to do with the irrelevancies that you and Zlatan needlessly introduce.
Remember, I merely posted the the French hunting to eat was more sensible than our hunting that we couldn't eat, that's all.
If you or Zlatan wanted to disagree with that, fine, I'm ok with a different opinion.
But Zlatan them conflated the subject twice into all manner of other areas, with you chipping in to support him. Little wonder you both get accused of only coming into the forum to cause arguments.
.
No we do not.
And less of the conflating. Its disgusting.
And the French do not hunt to eat any more than we do, apart from fact they will eat anything, but I, ve never seen them hunting frogs and snails.
Its a barmy thing to say flecc. The french perhaps hunt 0.0001% of the food they eat. They are not Inuit Indians are they.
They hunt for fun just like the toffs in red fancy dresses.
You dont hear Pierre saying "come on Francois lets go hunt a cow I fancy Steak Tartare" or "lets go shoot a duck, I, ve got some oranges".
Boar hunters are a set of middle class French blokes with feck off big guns, too many nasty dogs and scruffy old 4x4's with a dead pig in back and its head stuck on front. You, ve seen Deliverence, you, ve seen Boar hunters.
They take actions to put folk off going anywhere near their "shoots", will drive other vehicles off paths and have been known to fire warning shots and dish out threats to anybody encroaching on their "shoots". But you will know all this being such a francophile.
We were in the Alberes, its foothills to Pyrenees. Stunning with fire tracks all over many leading upto top of Pico Neulous, where there is one of nicest restaurants in France, overlooking Med to east, France to North and Spain to South. The whole place shuts down Saturdays and Wednesdays. People dare not use tracks or even sit in Restsurant, so the Deliverence extras can shoot pigs.
And BTW the restaurant has to buy Sanglier meat from Spain. The pigs the locals shoot for fun are not compliant with EU legislation.
