I'll do it for you, personifying Boris as a Busy Bee...

"The Bee he is a busy soul
And has no time for Birth Control

And that is why
In days like these
There are so many

Sons of Bees!"

How's that? pretty accurate too
Ideal sonnet for BJ.
Lies when he says it is a sonnet.
Only has six lines so short-changes us by eight.
Couldn't be arsed to do the rest.
Disobeys the strict rhyme scheme.
Thousands have already done real and better sonnets so not in the least original.
It is all about BJ. Ego massaged.

(Not mean to criticise your post, OG. :) )

I imagine you're referring to the lack of discord. I suspect it may have something to do with the way the leave campaign is intrinsically disintegrating. It's difficult to get upset about an opponent in the grand national who is sitting the wrong way round on a fat blonde horse going backwards through a hedge, if you get my drift?

how hard is it to stop brexit?
Here is a quick recce:

  1. Sometime between September 3 and September 10, Corbyn needs to trigger a motion of no confidence.
  2. It needs to be successful.
  3. MP defying the Whip will be outed from their party and thus parliament in the next election.
  4. An election needs be scheduled in time.
  5. Labour needs to win.
  6. Corbyn would have to ask for an extension or agree to the deal offered Theresa Mayor a Customs Union similar enough.
  7. The EU would have to unanimously agree to anything except the deal offered May. That includes an extension to hold another referendum.
  8. For outright Remain to succeed, it would likely take a majority in parliament or another referendum. The latter assumes the EU would go along.

Ah the Joy ! a Vote for Brexit results in being ruled by a rather shabby reprobate doing an "Eddie the Eagle" tribute revival version of diplomacy, and ensures the end of the Conservative party as we know it today

We could be in trouble right away at step one.
is Corbyn going to trigger a vote of No confidence against the government or himself?

Here in the Express are the words of Wisdom of Rees Mogg , a man who believes in the rise of Uber Mensch where a "Cognitive Elite will rise to power no longer subject to nation states and create governments to serve their ends"

There are several generic names for people with ideas like that, probably the most fitting is Anarchist.
Highly fitting for one who backs something ultimately damaging to the state as Brexit.
Here is the message

Boris Johnson fightback: Remainer plot to scupper Johnson’s PM bid backfires - shock poll
ANGRY Tory MPs last night accused a Left-wing hate mob of trying to wreck Boris Johnson’s bid to become prime minister with a campaign of intrusion and harassment.
Jacob Rees-Mogg led a string of senior backbenchers in rallying around the former foreign secretary following the political storm about a row with his girlfriend that has threatened to derail his leadership campaign. They spoke out after an exclusive telephone poll for the Daily Express showed that nine out of 10 readers believe the frontrunner for Downing Street should not have to explain himself over the bust-up with partner Carrie Symonds that led to the police being called to their flat. Mr Johnson, 55, and Ms Symonds, 31, fled their home after anarchist protesters targeted the property in Camberwell, south London, in the wake of incident last week when neighbours alerted police to the argument.

My , my it's been a long time since anarchist had such a good day in the press
Moggy clearly doesn't like the competition, but since when did anarchists agree among themselves?
And it's news to me that some of them are dropping their real cover name
The Conservative party
If ever there was an anarchist "organisation" (well you have to call it something" that's it!

It is always the fault of the EU. Never the HMRC for getting it wrong.

HMRC pushes steep VAT increase for new solar-battery systems
Treasury proposes rise from 5% to 20%, while the tax on coal will stay at lower rate
HMRC has blamed EU tax laws for the planned rise because they rule out lower VAT rates for energy saving equipment under state aid rules.

The European court of justice ruled in 2015 that energy saving materials should not have been receiving the reduced rate of tax. This led to an increase in VAT for solar systems installed at new-build homes in 2016, but did not affect the majority of houses which would require retrofitting. Those houses will now be affected by the higher rate.

We should have been fighting for the EU to change policy on this (and, quite possibly, many other things). A success would (probably) benefit the whole of the EU.

Mind, there is plenty of self-interest for the potential suppliers.

Long thought much of the power of the word anarchist is its visual similarity to antichrist .

Much of the rest of its apparent meaning seems to be about gang membership.

Although not religious, the bible sometimes has words that are ripe for picking:

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Just who can list BJ's fruits without marvelling that anyone cannot consider him a thistle?

there is much speculation that conservative remainers will vote to bring down the government should it look like no deal. I think they will back down, as they must realise that they may never get in power again. Who would vote for a party whose members are treacherous to it

those MPs who vote against their party in a no confidence vote will be automatically deselected at the next GE. That's the rule of 3-line whip. They are courageous to choose such a course of action, so they are rather heroes than villains.
Apparently, 83% of conservative members will vote for BJ and only 6% for JH.
would you explain why they are so convinced that brexit can only be delivered by a rubbish politician like BJ?

Having considerable difficulty fitting the words "courageous" and "conservative politicians"together
And in answer to your question
"why they are so convinced that brexit can only be delivered by a rubbish politician like BJ?"

Stupidity.............. both them and Boris

What a fate for any country! where did we go wrong to end up with this Weapons Grade Blithering idiot in line for Prime Minister?

Imagine him meeting Putin!
No, better not go there...

Hang on I have a brilliant idea ...
Lets contract a Ventrilquist to put his arm up the back entrance and work this dummy.

Sadly the best choice Rod Hull (Emu) killed himself falling off his roof fixing the TV ariel, and my second choice Ray Alan who created Lord Charles ( the original Rees Mogg was cloned from) has passed away too.

Is there a Ventriloquist is the house of commons, attracted there perhaps by the countries leading selection of dummies?
