God you never give up do you? You're just SO in love with your own opinions it beggars belief. Such grandiosity. Who was it said a superiority complex? Somebody did. Bang on.
I’m sorry to hear this news. Especially so, because you have my greatest respect and admiration.

Note - boys and girls - this is the attitude that had 'Remain' lose. That condescending 'we're better than you' attitude. Easy to spot in this guy because he reveals it in almost every post.

So, it is down to Johnson, Gove, and Hunt. I wonder how many supporters Johnson can lend to Hunt to ensure that Gove doesn’t make it into the final two?

Petrol works as good as any other treatments (and not to burn place down)
We had a couple of properties in France full of the things( brought in with too old fire wood)... Saw a few as thick as my fingers.... Wicheti grub size...
And the petrol smell disappeared quicker than expensive chemicals, yet still protects the old wood...
Theres always a cheaper way to do things.
Interesting... The Xenophane chemical was about 100 euro a drum. Some 20 years ago. It would gave had a Light oil base..like kerosine, presumably as a carrier for the chemical. Anyway the single drum was enough.
I might have chanced petrol or kerosine in a barn or outbuilding , but not in the rafters of a house.

15 would probably do it.
After Stewart, Javid got eliminated with a curious loss of support. Vote lending?

I think Johnson could give Hunt 4 votes and still definitely get through to Judges Houses (A term borrowed from X Factor, so that Oxygen James can keep up :) )

I bought same thing to do one of houses but builder friend (a german chap) assured me petrol would do job. Tried it, worked fine.. He reckoned he'd used it for years, saying it was common in Africa where he, d seen it being used as mentioned, presumably no insectisides available..???

OK so I can see you're at least paying attention.

Look..... I want to like you. It took me a while but I ended up being OK with OG. And to start with all I wanted to do was wring his neck (I can see some here still want to). But given time I managed to see another side to him. That's my aim with you. I really do not like not liking people. An inner fault of my own. So I will keep trying. Yes dear God I will keep trying. Who knows. Maybe I'll get there. Maybe.

That good to hear. I have less of a task than you face, I already like you, seriously.

I do have a disliking of wasters and I know that comes through, and I also have no right to judge who’s a waster and who isn’t. That’s something for me to work on.

Fun wasn't it? but the attempt to present the cavalier as jolly sports is just as wrong as imagining the parliamentarians were all puritans, another case of stereotyping
Did you actually read it? It made that very point. Thought it was a good article and both analogies and description of Corbyn very good. Even the point EU couldnt guess what Boris will do because he hasnt a clue is not far wide of mark.
Personally cant see how BJ can do any thing May could or couldnt. But we, ll see.
Notice also Labour cant decide their view on Brexit yet, with Watson and Corbyn making opposing noises.
Watson want to support Remain and or a second ref, Corbyn doesnt. Which sums Corbyn up. He doesnt do much does he.

In the adult state they are flying beetle like, in the larvae stage, quite a large wood eating soft bodied caterpillar ..of a diameter close to a childs finger. Whereas wood worm are silent ,one can hear these munching. Don't worry, by perseverance and the use of the appropriate treatment , I have irradicated them.. There is a lesson there.

This sounds like a load of blarney to me.

Show me a picture of one.

OK good. Look - here's my idea - bottom line nobody actually has any fc uking clue what the fc uk the 'facts' are - so we're all making up as we go along. Except for the righteous ta wts who try to make out they know the word of God.

We'll see.

It's all a work in progress.

You managed to like OG but not 50...
In OG, s War and Peace sized contribution to thread (that is no exaggeration) he has yet to make a positive comment about anything or anyone, yet to actually support or offer any (real or valid) possible alternative for anything. Everything is doom.

Nope its not Fingers. We had one in French house the thickness of my thumb. They are awful things. When wood is stored in damp earthy conditions they can take hold, then folk buy cheap firewood thinking they are saving cash.. Next thing house has them. Houses in regions likely to be affected have to pass inspections to be sold. Quite common in Languedoc region. Dont think they were called Capricorns there tho, not sure..?? Cant remember what they called them but these are them...

On the OG or 50 argument. 50 is humane, knowledgeable , witty, friendly, objective and not biased. OG is the opposite in each catagory.
50 just has a few pet hates. Read his posts when he was Tillson.

I’ve never heard of them called Capricorns either. I just assumed it was another tale from de auld country.

Get your money Hunt to quality for the final round I’m hearing.

I bet bookies are not taking bets now.

I agree to a point. And its lovely that were all trying to get along and be more human. But there is a difference between, say, investing in tesla and not being sure where the share price will be in a years time and blowing ones head off with a sawn off shotgun because no one could prove in advance that one wouldnt miraculously escape, if you get my drift?

I like this post. Even though I still believe we could prosper ourside EU I can understand its a massive leap of faith and probably not one worth taking. None of that was made clear at our referendum and we were offered something nobody had actually planned on carrying out. So I get it. Personally, I, d take the risk. But, I see how that is probably unfair, especially so when its probably the case that only a minority now would.
I still blame Labour/Corbyn for not representing Remain at last GE. Had he done so, we would know exactly where country stands and not being pulled either one way or another by a minority.
Good post JA.
