True, just before joining we ended up a failed and bankrupt nation with the IMF having to come in and run the economy. Signed up to European membership then, we've steadily grown back to a fair degree of health, thanks entirely to the economic union with the EU and the services and manufacturing we provide them with.

Now with Brexit we are volunteering to risk going back to the pre-IMF management decades of decline.

Truly the people of large parts of the world would benefit hugely from EU membership.

the EU's success relies in (an important) part on their solidarity and social cohesion fund. It's much more that what we give to disaster relief effort to third world countries.

However it has been flagged up and last Tuesday , Mr Trump was asked a question about it, and his answer, was along the lines of in trade talks everything including the NHS is on the table. Now whether he actually knows or cares what the NHS is ,I will not speculate, he could believe it to be a ball bearing factory in Norwich ,but since a few days earlier and responding to comments from your Health secretary, "who said not on my watch" , Trump did refer to the NHS, he may actually have an inkling.

He confessed to a crime, when does he go to court
