The BGT type of show is a money making racket and multiple voting is actively encouraged. Each vote is money directly taken from the voter.
The Westminster petition is a money costing exercise. The team will have anti fraud techniques in place. Perhaps they are ineffective, perhaps not

For someone who regards himself as the cleverest man on here your Stockholm syndrome to our practices really isn’t up to scratch. You are always wrong about our culture.

You could vote 5 times for free. Even in Ireland where you get our telly for free.

The only person Donald Trump ever puts in his place is himself, by repeatedly showing what a fool he is. It's astonishing that he doesn't realise how so much of the world views him as a clown.

You missed out the prefix "demented"

The Clown Prince should not have commented by suggesting that we shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpet for Donald Trump. The reasons for this are three fold. 1) The visit it isn’t for Donald Trump. It’s for a head of state. In this case the president of The USA. 2) It’s non of the Clown Prince’s business, he’s insignificant in such important state matters. 3) The Clown Prince is an international embarrassment and he shouldn’t be given a platform from which to embarrass himself and the country further. He should be kept as low-key as possible.

Yes ,you can vote multiple times, but are they counted?. Neither you nor any of the other experts actually confirmed that. My background is to believe all and any of these theories, and then to confirm them by experiment

I agree that Sadiq should not comment on Trump, but equally Trump and his son should not have gone to verbal war against Sadiq when they discovered three years ago that London has Muslim mayor. That was and remains pure Trump racism.

Since then Trump and his extreme right and Islamophobic followers have never let up on their campaign of trying to discredit Sadiq with false accusations, all widely published online and in the right wing press. In calling Sadiq a clown you are unwittingly associating yourself with them, and it does you no credit.

Sadiq Khan is a very capable man, a successful solicitor of 12 years standing, followed by a successful three terms as an MP, holding various ministries. Then winning the London Mayoral election with the largest number of votes in one election of any politician in British history.

He's been included in the Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world.

He is regularly named among the Top 100 London politicians in the London Evening Standard's annual poll of the 1,000 most influential Londoners.

The Spectator—a right-wing magazine then edited by Boris Johnson—awarded him the "Newcomer of the Year Award" at the 2005 Parliamentarian of the Year Awards. The magazine's editorial board stated that he had received the award "for the tough-mindedness and clarity with which he has spoken about the very difficult issues of Islamic terror".

None of these warrant calling him a clown.

Until this posting, I was unsure as to whom the title of London clown was intended.
While waiting for one of the riviting HoC debates to commence on the BBC,it was showing an open house type meeting with the current London Mayor chairing. I was extremely impressed by his non bombastic chairing, his clarity of engagement and his capacity to home in on the essentials of the argument as presented, and to make appropriate committments

Alienate a few more, why don't you? Might eventually antagonise enough people to make a difference to their vote.

Ann Widdecombe says science may 'produce an answer' to being gay
I think we're all curious to find out how come some people are 'gay'. That's what science is all about. Explaining stuff. Is it genetic as some claim (with almost no evidence) - or 'learned'.

Some interesting thoughts here:

"The answer, probably, is uterine, as with autism. As, in fact as with trans, female brains in male bodies and all that. Something requiring surgical intervention to correct. The foetus, and most especially the brain, is conditioned by vast waves of hormones that pump through it while in the womb, determining bits and pieces of development. These waves sometimes leading to development not the same as the majority. We’re really very certain this is true of autism, we know absolutely it’s the case for certain forms of intersex, it’s claimed to be true of much trans and, well, why not about same sex attraction? That's what she said - she said one day science may be able to explain it."

But. Of course some people just want to be offended by even having to consider the question.

Nothing new about that huh?

Being offended is a full time occupation for some people around here.

Joking?

For song writing, see our last place in the Eurovision song contest and consistency of failure in almost all other years.

For football, see our World Cup record and the fact of our league being so full of foreign players, coaches and managers. English football is rather like our car industry, success mainly by using foreigners to set it up for us.
.
The English Premiership is the most watched league in the entire world.

But let's knock it huh?

Danny experimented once to try to find out if you need to put an extra full stop after a question mark. You know?. He experimented and found out that the dot at the bottom of a question mark is actually good enough. So if you ask a question - you don't need to do both. But. Danny being high in IQ but low in actual smarts - continues to add the extra dot after the question mark - proving his experimentation is actually a complete waste of time.

The only point I would disagree with is that there are people with brains in the UK. There are, unfortunately a limited opportunities for them to shine .
'Limited opportunities for them to shine'. WTF. Every [language removed] moment is an opportunity to shine. Limited opportunities - what kind of total cr ap is that? Sorry - is that?.

Care to explain why UK can't ramp up production of network equipment to replace dodgy Chinese kit? and manufacture more than enough to export. If we're to thrive on opportunities after the brexit you want here's a chance to prove ourselves.

Of course it is, it's a world premiership held in England.

Why do you think that is knocking it? I'm far from doing that, I'm in praise of its multi-national nature which makes it so good and so widely watched and followed.

It fits with my universal freedom of movement politics. Not so sure it fits with yours though.
