I watched this and there is no way we should have been last. There was other reasons behind this.. A few days after the competition they took another 5 points of us.....we were already last ffs....just an extra kick in the testicles.
I didn't watch it, but from some previous years I agree it's not only about the songs. More about nationalism, cronies and politics.

Not surprising as they need someone who won't disappear come October and even more importantly even if we do stay, that would actually turn up and do a job of work!

Advanced warning. Attempt at humour.
You can be HoD, you are emminently qualified, but Danidl will beat you hands down in interview.
His pontifications are much more interview oriented.

Many years ago a mate got an interview for a job at which just a few minutes prior to interview he decided he didnt want job. He put an elastic band around his head, hidden by his hair. In interview it popped up and made his hair stand on end. He got job offered to him, and turned it down.
Thank you for the touching faith in my abilities, however having completed a 30 year stint as HoD..slightly different area , I must respectfully decline.

If anyone thinks that oldgroaner has been exaggerating...

US wants access to NHS in post-Brexit deal, says Trump ally
Before president’s visit, Woody Johnson says every area of UK economy up for discussion
The US will want business access to the NHS in any post-Brexit trade deal, the US ambassador has said, prompting anger from politicians and campaigners before Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK this week.

Woody Johnson, who is a close friend of the US president, said every area of the UK economy would be up for discussion when the two sides brokered a trade deal.

Asked if the NHS was likely to form part of trade negotiations, Johnson told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show: “I think the entire economy, in a trade deal, all things that are traded would be on the table.” Asked if that specifically meant healthcare, he said: “I would think so.”

Alienate a few more, why don't you? Might eventually antagonise enough people to make a difference to their vote.

Ann Widdecombe says science may 'produce an answer' to being gay
Brexit party MEP sparks anger by claiming people may one day be able to switch sexuality
Ann Widdecombe has come under fire after she suggested science might one day “produce an answer” to being gay.

The Brexit party MEP said she had once pointed out that there was a time when it was thought impossible for men to become women and vice versa.

She added: “The fact that we think it is now quite impossible for people to switch sexuality doesn’t mean that science might not be able to produce an answer at some stage.”

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jun/02/ann-widdecombe-science-answer-being-gay

If that is the answer, what was the question?

Apparently:

These LGBT statistics, published in the Mirror, would mean there were around nine million gay, bisexual and lesbian people living in the UK.
https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/11/16/lgbt-stats-gay-bisexual-uk/

I have absolutely no idea what proportion of that (claimed) nine million voted brexit. Would it make a difference?

(I can't really see why remain/leave should be associated with sexuality, but what do I know?)

Added:
“Now that’s all I’ve said. I do not imagine for one moment that the Brexit party will be putting forward a policy on gay sex changes in its manifesto.”

Nigel says he won't even say the word. Couldn't he have told his own MEPs?

In that case you are definitely over qualified.

Just like revoke you could vote multiple times. I would say less than 600k of actual people voted.

Probably more people voted for BGT than revoke.
The BGT type of show is a money making racket and multiple voting is actively encouraged. Each vote is money directly taken from the voter.
The Westminster petition is a money costing exercise. The team will have anti fraud techniques in place. Perhaps they are ineffective, perhaps not

For those who claim that when we entered the EEC the future was hidden from the voters

"On the political side Britain is likely to back moves to give more power to the European Parliament."

None of those things failed because of the EU, that is just lies!
All of our failures are due to our own inefficiency and a policy of turning the nation into a betting shop while allowing industry either to die off or deliberately killing it.
And the biggest lie you apparently believe in is that things will change for the better after Brexi.
When it is the stated intenton of the Government to make this a super charged version of the betting shop and tax haven it is now, there will be no rebirth of industry as there are easier pickings to be had
We have lived off the EU as a Financial Services Parasite and neglected industry deliberately.
The damage we have taken is from our own people no one else.
Are you seriously thinking we will regain leading positions in steel industry, car industry, power production, electronics, renewable energy production and commerce.

We joined the EEC because we had already lost them and needed IMF loans to bail us out!
There is no chance whatever of us turning ourselves into another Germany, no one here has either the guts, brains or will to do so.
You are living in a fantasy and placing faith in the least competent , greediest and teacherous Elite on the planet.
The only point I would disagree with is that there are people with brains in the UK. There are, unfortunately a limited opportunities for them to shine .

16,141,241 with brains took the opportunity to shine in the referendum by voting Remain.
