Tommy Robinson donation pledge a profound insult, women’s groups say
UK News | Published: 7 hours ago

More than 40 women and charities have signed a letter saying they would not accept money from the English Defence League founder and MEP candidate.

Wow, a whole 40 women didn't want donations. That must have really hurt Tommy Robinson's feelings. I wonder how many of those women had penises, which seems to be the latest fad for left wing women. Whatever you do though, don't call them a man even though they look like men, sound like men and act like sissies, because you'll get arrested for it. It's a jailable offence.
Guernsey press? How many women are on guernsey?

Early European election postal voting results:

View attachment 30267
obviously another on line poll organised on behalf of or even among the Brexit party, as this is the situation
Most postal voters will receive their postal ballot pack by 13 May 2019. Your ballot paper can be sent overseas, but you need to think about whether you will have time to receive and return it so that it arrives back by 10pm on Thursday 23 May 2019.

Great joke OJ! (bit too obvious though!) but to be fair, a lot of leavers are dumb enough to fall for this sort of thing and see victory beckon and rush to vote.
Cute move to pull a stunt like this by Lord Nigels sponsors

Where did they find the 89 people to take part?
Nigel must have doubled his support to get 74 people to agree they will vote for him.
I thought there were more than that on his march on London on the infrequent times when he visited it for publicity shots.

What a pathetic effort

It was the most shouty BBCQT ever.

the best bit is from Amber Rudd:
"Nigel can have his own views but can't have his own facts".
you can watch the clip here:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-48222583/brexit-debate-heats-up-on-question-time
The Express totally ignored this Farage debacle and tried to major on Anna Soubry's mistake with this
"
Soubry left red-faced after Question Time Brexit blunder – 'What are you talking about?'
ANNA SOUBRY was left red-faced and prompted a furious response from Nigel Farage after she said the Brexit Party leader had claimed the UK “could leave the European Union, just like Norway had done”.
Norway of course never joined...

that's the problem with ageing. Farage actually said on BBCQT Jan 2013:

"Wouldn't it be terrible if we were like Norway and Switzerland? Really? They're rich. They're happy. They're self governing. "

The story was widely reported - I just fancied quoting Guernsey Press.

What Farage forgets is Norway didn't squander it's north sea riches like Thatcher did, and Switzerland are even bigger financial rogues that we are!

They're still going to wipe the floor in these EU elections and you know it!

We often see manifesto commitments being held up as, dare I say it, red lines. They are the fundamental basis on which the electorate is supposed to make their minds up.

What now? BP and tories both failing to publish manifestos. Does that imply an open chequebook for them to do whatever they like?

Sure, neither is going to be a majority in the European parliament, but still...

It doesn't matter, does it? even if they do they are merely a nuisance rather than a threat and unlikely to actually take office or be in it for very long.
If we leave they don't have a job, and if we don't
It could actually be fun to watch them squirm, if for instance there happened to be a return to membership, imagine what a life of hell they would get from the other MEP's in the parliament!
They would be literally flogging a extinct horse with no mandate or chance of another referendum.

What credibility would they have if Brexit has failed?
They would be a laughing stock every time they turned up.

I suspect they would do a Nigel and stay at home, rather than be the butt of jokes.
great fun,but actually a waste of time and money.
(Though highly entertaining to watch them take a drubbing)
Really they are extremely foolish to stand for election, it's a hiding for nothing whatever happens.

The downside from our point of view if we decide to remain is that we have a bunch of lunatic saboteurs supposedly representing our interests, and since they won't the EU will do what it likes and we are powerless to alter that fact.

Once the UK Government realises they are slinging the lead, and stepping out of line, I'm sure this jolly band will feel the weight of their displeasure, and they are unlikely to get the free ride the jackass Farage did with support for their cause no longer coming from head office.

If I was the president of the EU I would expect all MEP's to sign an article of loyalty to work for the good of the nation they represent, and to futher the aims of the EU itself.
Admitting treacherous nut cases should be prevented, after all an oath of loyalty is required of MP's, why not Mep's?

That people like Farage were allowed to pose as representing this country when working actively against it and the elected government is tantamount to offering an MP ship under a proportional representational system to Guy Fawkes.

Happy days!

It's amusing to see the sheer quality of the mugs Farage is fielding as MEP candidates, here one of the merry band of blunderers
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/may/06/brexit-party-mep-candidate-praised-use-of-nazi-slogan
"
Brexit party MEP candidate praised use of Nazi slogan
John Tennant also has history of using obscene language about women on social media

Sophistication? who needs it when you you want a rabble rouser?
Tennent's - well known for rabble rousing.
