Who saw Vince Cable on tele yesterday. He was savaged and didnt even know... Very strange. Walter Mitty of politics.
A nasty piece of work that one.

verbally aggressive has never been his style, but his record is not too bad considering he took it from Tim Farron.Who saw Vince Cable on tele yesterday. He was savaged and didnt even know... Very strange. Walter Mitty of politics.

Back in 2017, LibDems got 7% of the national votes, now polling at 11% - steady progress.
Still much better than the 3% that ChUK polls.
VC will retire and be replaced after the EP vote.
I wish the next LibDems leader will go back to champion free tuition for further education.
What did Walter do to deserve that description?A nasty piece of work that one.
You, d have expected LibDems to have attracted much more of the remain vote than they have. Afterall they are only ones clearly and openly supporting an end to Brexit.verbally aggressive has never been his style, but his record is not too bad considering he took it from Tim Farron.

Back in 2010, the Libdems were rewarded for being right to oppose Tony Blair. You, d have expected LibDems to have attracted much more of the remain vote than they have. Afterall they are only ones clearly and openly supporting an end to Brexit.
Why havent remainers flocked to Lib Dem???
Labour is more likely to give remainers what they want. Why havent remainers flocked to Lib Dem???
I'm not in any way disappointed in what that poll shows. Why should I be? I don't understand what you're getting at.Latest YouGov poll (23-24 April)
Labour: 30%
Conservatives: 27%
BXP: 14%
LibDems: 11%
Greens: 5%
UKIP 4%
ChUK:3%
vrf400 may be disappointed with the findings.
How do you know, entire party are split and dont know what to offer.Labour is more likely to give remainers what they want.
If Labour don't come out on Tuesday (NEC meeting) with a definite policy for a second referendum then I will probably vote for the Lib Dems in the EU elections. Why havent remainers flocked to Lib Dem???
If they do their literature will need to be rewritten... Sort of normal for most of them at moment..If Labour don't come out on Tuesday (NEC meeting) with a definite policy for a second referendum then I will probably vote for the Lib Dems in the EU elections.
I get the impression that JC is only happy to do what members of the Labour Party want when that ties in with what he, his advisor Seumas Milne and his backer Len McCluskey want. How do you know, entire party are split and dont know what to offer..
I think they would beat Bxp but agree with premise. JC refuses even at this stage to commit.I get the impression that JC is only happy to do what members of the Labour Party want when that ties in with what he, his advisor Seumas Milne and his backer Len McCluskey want.
A massive majority of Labour Party members want a second referendum. Most Union leaders want one, its about time JC stepped up to the plate and acted like a Leader. I think if Labour came out really strong for a second referendum they could run the Brexit Party fairly close.
I think Farage and David Cameron should be taken to every town and village in the Country, placed in stocks so that we can all throw mud pies at them. All their assets should then be seized and given to homeless people. These two men have cost the country tens of billions of pounds and for what?So there does seem to be something many of us can agree with:
More than half the public – 55% – now think it would have been better never to have held the EU referendum given the difficulties of reaching an agreement on Brexit, according to the latest Opinium/Observer poll.
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/27/public-thinks-eu-referendum-was-a-bad-idea-says-poll
(Technically, I might disagree. In that the best course from 2015 onwards might have been a referendum with an overwhelming remain result.)
you support TR, he's unlikely to win a seat standing as an independent or with UKIP which has polled only 4%.I'm not in any way disappointed in what that poll shows. Why should I be? I don't understand what you're getting at.
they have the logical approach. How do you know, entire party are split and dont know what to offer.
And how does that support Remainers?? Cant see the connection Woosh. Can nearly see it from JC's position, but think its flawed for him.they have the logical approach.
The second referendum needs to be the last solution, not the first like the LibDems have always presented.
The second referendum needs to be backed with a clear demonstration that no form of brexit has managed to win a majority at the HoC.
It will then motivate most remainers while attracting less fire from brexiters.
JC makes sure that he is seen defending brexit right to the end while voting against TM's plan all the way.
remainers can only get a second referendum when JC says he wants it too.And how does that support Remainers?? Cant see the connection Woosh. Can nearly see it from JC's position, but think its flawed.
But thats irrelevant Woosh and besides it only adds weight to my argument.remainers can only get a second referendum when JC says he wants it too.
