Theresa May said tonight that she isn't in favour of any long extension, so a request for a short one is more likely.
These latest developments mean her deal isn't dead yet since she can now bring it back a third time in afew weeks, maybe with another small tweak. It's just possible it could get through then through Brexiteers fearing a second referendum.
If not it will be either GE or a 2nd referendum, for Deal or Remain now the HoC has ruled against No Deal.

how does no deal get stopped.Does legislation have to be passed? I have heard talk of a statuary instrument, but isn't that the one where someone can just say object which stops it ( as in the case of the upskirting). Other than that will a law have to be passed revoking article 50. I think it's fair to say it is a bit of a mess
Unfortunately the gilets jaunes aren't watching all this, only three of them understand English anyway... And if you say "Monty Python sketch" they ask; "is that an option on the latest BMW?"
But if an A50 extension is granted she could still revive her deal during that and Bercow couldn't stop that, since it would be new circumstances and alternatives.

It tells us how good her deal is when it suffers one of the biggest defeats in parliamentary history, not once, but twice. You only need to look at newspaper reader’s comments to see how unpopular her deal is with both sides. It / she is universally unpopular.
She can’t be allowed to drag her hateful & shambolic deal with all of its associated threats and bullying strap-lines before the country again.
Long gone is the time when the country came first. This is all about Theresa May’s personal gratification. She wants to make her mark in history as being the Prime Minister who devised the mechanism which took the U.K. out of the EU. She will make the country pay any price in order to realise that ambition.

On here we have had leave supporters crying out how the EU keeps pushing any country that wants to leave with fresh offers till they cave in, have another referendum and agree to stay.
Whereas here we have a Prime Ministers who keeps pushing her deal back when it has now been defeated twice in the face of the EU not giving way, in the hope o third time lucky.
What kind of NO doesn't she understand?
And the irony is these so called Politicians are likely to cave and and finally accept her deal to the disadvantage of us all.
The end result will be an eventual backlash among the public far worse than if they had a agreed to another referendum, and taken their chances.

She does not understand NO. She is mental ill and the symptoms cause her to believe that she is right regardless of any amount of evidence to the contrary.
She is totally unfit for any kind of public office or role in leadership, and the evidence for that statement lies in her track record of total failure to unite people and to plan ahead.
Like many people, I am filled with disgust at the very sight of Theresa May. What must the rest of the world be thinking about this country with that thing at the forefront.
her deal is a little in the middle of the road, that's why it got trashed by both sides. If you want brexit, it has to be somewhere in the middle of the road though.
The alternative is to revoke A50 and enjoy a few concessions that David Cameron brought back.

I watched his speech made to MEPs. In it he specifically asked EU not to grant any extensions to Art50 so they would be rid of him ASAP yet your article says he asked them grant an extension so he could carry on drawing EU salary. Gurardian is factually wrong. He did no such thing.
The amounts in question, and in all likelyhood perfectly legitimate, pale into insignificance at those claimed by EU MPs.
Its a none story, with a spin and errors to discredit Farage. You should know better OG.
