That doesnt change what she could, should do now. Nobody has answered that, merely explained that in your opinion she did something stupid almost 2 years ago.
What do you want her to do now, bearing in mind the manifesto that put her there...
Here I agree with you. She's cornered herself and has no options but to stick to her guns or resign.

So you want her to do what???
It's easy shouting and screaming how stupid people are how wrong they are and what a bad job they are doing... but please tell us exactly what you, d like her to do...
Rescind art50... She can't...
Get a better deal... Tried that...
Exit with a no deal... A probability.
Resign??,Who takes over...???
I don't understand what all May's critics expect her to do...
At least she has stayed in office...
Just to remind everyone.. She is carrying out the decision from the referendum and she won a GE with leave in manifesto. (which it was in Labour)
Can you imagine the outcry if she ditches leaving. Tories are in power on pledge to leave. The mistakes were made weeks ago... Its rather late to be saying stop. She has no choice but to do all she can to leave. That by no means at all makes her stupid.
Stupid is assuming she has options. She has none.
Fact is we are leaving. It's May's deal or no deal. The GE and referendum decided that.
As before, I prefer not to make comments about British politicians, but your analysis is spot on. She did gain the position because of a commitment. I think it was an unrealistic option from day one. But it does show tenacity. There is a grudging admiration for her regarding Brexit .not that it is apparent on this forum

But in reality how would that change anything.. Would replacement revoke art 50 in conflict to both ref and GE (and DUP)???
And to be fair why should she resign?? She is doing what manifesto promised.

Will I need a passport to visit Ireland next April? Or will the special arrangements still hold that mean driving licence (or whatever) is adequate?
The common travel area is a local concession organised since the 1920s and is operational between travel originating and terminating between the RoI and UK. It predates the EU and still remains. The greatest threat to it was the Ryanair insistence on passports as the only acceptable travel document. Aer Lingus will accept any valid identification. Foot passengers are not required to have any identifying documents. However ,it would be wise for anyone of Oriental or coloured or even Asian extraction, to have some identifying documents, proving they are resident in either jurisdiction. Otherwise they may run foul of immigration in either jurisdiction.

Nothing will change. The EU countries will still want us to visit and spend & vice versa. Other suggestions which have been made regarding planes being grounded is hog-wash.
BBC says:
Flights from the UK into and overflying the EU to be allowed for 12 months to ensure "basic connectivity"

However, if I heard correctly, no EU to EU links - hence, no Heathrow to Frankfurt to Athens service.

The impact of this I do not know - anyone knowledgable about air transport?

The Guardian's article says:

British airlines would have the right to fly point to point, eg London to Paris and back, but would lose rights to fly between EU airports.

The EU document is here:

So much for not wanting to accept it's authority
There's no apostrophe for the possessive 'its'. "It's" ALWAYS means either 'it is' or 'it has' - but never the possessive which is always its with no apostrophe.

You're very welcome.

Glad to be of help. Anytime. No really. You're very very welcome.

I want her to resign and somehow someone else to withdraw A50 - or withdraw A50 and immediately resign. Quite how this could happen, or who would be the best person to do so or to take over, I really don't know.

A bit of me wants to say Ken Clarke!

Nothing like a pay rise in time for the Christmas festivities!!

As a result of a Christmas pay rise, from January bureaucrats in the EU will be paid more than €20,000 a month, Commissioners will be paid €26,600 a month, and President Juncker will be paid a whopping €32,700 a month.

Good to see our taxes going to such a great cause…

Remember the Commissioners and Juncker are temps so have to stash some for the following period of unemployment. :)

Seriously the EU is more efficient than many realise, they have fewer civil servants than Derby council who only have a fraction of the population to administer to.

Definitely agree, but not sure Ken would want it at his age.
.
And even though his views on Europe are much closer to mine, he is still a tory.

He still make sense and his mind is still working - but I agree he probably wouldn't accept even if clamoured to.

It’s just inconceivable that they would be petty enough to terminate flight schedules in that way. There exists a strong will emoungst the citizens of the wide EU area to allow travel to continue. That is in our interest and theirs in equal measure. The same principle can be said for trade. It’s just the EU leaders who want to be difficult.

Turning back to flights. It is within the EU’s power to restrict or even ban aircraft from another country entering their airspace and to refuse flight information, radar and routing services. However, I can’t see that happening.

I’m sure that the vast majority of people living in the EU would like to see trade, travel and friendships continue with the U.K. But I’m sure that will be CS gassed & batoned out of them if they voice their sentiments too loudly. Especially so once the EU Army comes into being. They will soon “paste” anyone with anti-EU thoughts.

We all must save for periods of no income. They are no different, but I did note the :)

Seriously, they should be leading by example and demonstrate some restraint. However, they are human and humans are generally greedy and self serving, so I can see why they have had the rise and it doesn’t really bother me. It is an indication that the EU is similar to our own parliament in terms of trousering cash for personal gain.

I can readily agree that it is a high rate of pay. But I'd point out that managing the EU could be seen as a bigger job than a football club and some of the pay rates for that job make these EU salaries look low.

Yes indeed, nothing like a pay rise to combat that ole sciatica flare up...

Austrian newspaper Österreich is reporting that EU Commission President Jean Claude-Juncker “caused a stir” and “had to be supported by two staff members” while enjoying a festive dinner last night.... perhaps a little too much.

now if this was Trump it would be `Breaking News` on Sky, instant programme rescheduling, the good and the great being wheeled into the studio to vilify and condemn..

But it`s Mr. Juncker, he`s The President of the EU..

so it`s OK

I have added to my post a bit more detail and am just about to add a link to the EU document.

What you say is very true. All of the news channels would be lining up a parade of multi-millionaires to instruct us how to react to President Trump’s vile behaviour. But it’s not President Trump, so the multi-millionaires stay quite.
