Brexit, for once some facts.

We have people here making a case (a case that should need no explaining!) for remaining in the EU while nobody, absolutely nobody, has made any case whatsoever for 'Brexit'.

The opposition here to 'Remain' is purely destructive trolling which would not be tolerated on other websites.

Have patience Tom, even a troll could, conceivably, in the fullness of time accidentally surprise us all with a cogent argument though admittedly we are likely to be back in the EU before that event.

Is this serious? Or just winding us up?

Civil service told to ramp up no-deal Brexit plans with 24/7 crisis centre
Whitehall told to accelerate plans as doubts grow about future of May’s deal

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/dec/13/civil-service-seeks-staff-for-no-deal-brexit-crisis-centre

No wonder unemployment is reportedly low...

To prepare for no deal, 10,000 people had been hired, 5,000 more new jobs were in the pipeline and 5,000 more staff would be recruited if it happened.

Oh, just what situations are expected, and how should they manage them?

It is blatant propaganda, designed to engender the notion in the minds of the public that a 'no deal' 'Brexit is to be feared whereas little Miss Muffet's Mrs May's so-called 'Chequers deal' is a nice, easy and gentle passage into Britain's isolation from our biggest market, condemning us to a slow, lingering death as a former world power already in terminal decline.

It's desperation for May and her supporters, attempting to sell the deal that no-one wants. Oh, and don't forget that they have recently raised the bogeyman tactic again - blatantly condemning Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour party, such is their fear of being out of office for a decade or more if a GE demonstrates that the public wants to allow Labour to govern with a different, kind of politics based on fairness and compassion.

This is a sign of the times, thanks to the likes of Farage and the other neo-nazis stirring up the feelings of hatred for foreign people through blaming them for everything from stealing jobs to being benefit cheats and moslem extremist sleepers.

Remember what happened to Jo Cox MP! Her brutal murderer, Thomas Mair, was undoubtedly influenced heavily by the kind of dialogue spewed out by UKIP and the extreme right of the British nazi party tory party.

If you disagree with the commission, take them to court. Seems to have worked for Paris, Madrid and Brussels. And far more sensible than walking away. Shame London, Cardiff and Edinburgh didn't join in.

EU relaxation of diesel emission limits was illegal, court rules
Ruling means new generation of so-called ‘cleaner’ diesel vehicles can be banned by cities across EU

City authorities can now stop Euro 6 diesel vehicles from entering their cities. The European court of justice has overruled a decision by the European commission to allow new diesel vehicles to emit higher levels of nitrogen dioxide.

The European court of justice said on Thursday the commission was not allowed to change the limits of nitrogen oxides for vehicles when it introduced a new test designed to be a realistic assessment of emissions.

“The commission did not have the power to amend the Euro 6 emission limits for the new real driving emission tests,” the court said.

The decision means plans by the three European cities to ban new diesel vehicles can go ahead.

It's nice to see the system works and good sense has prevailed.

Well done the ECJ!

Stronger together! That was the soundbite from the tory party when they tried desperately to convince the Scots that they should remain in the union.

The people in this pic know that we are all stronger inside the union of 28 that we call the EU.

It was actually "Better Together" and Broon promising the closest thing to federalism possible. That's going well........not.

There are many businesses which have little idea as to what they should do. And, in this matter, I am not blaming the management. If you don't know what is going to happen, you are set up to make big mistakes with your limited resources.
