You forgot to mention your addition to Fairy storiesSounds like there's a longer story in there somewhere. Betting never got to be an addiction for me - I reserved that for sex and drugs.
I never bet more than £100. And even then rarely.

I think you'll find that overall the cash flow is from the south to the north. Like it is from the UK mainland to N. Ireland for example. We have more money down here because there are more higher paying jobs. Which generates more cash in taxes etc. Which gives us more money to spend. I could be wrong but I don't think I am.maybe it is to do with the amount of money that is pumped into the Southeast at the expense of the rest of the country
I did? OK. If you say so. You seem pretty good yourself when it comes to telling stories. If I may be so bold as to suggest. You forgot to mention your addition to Fairy stories
Really, you enjoy concrete blocks along much of its length to narrow it, with 50 limit for mile after mile and the police sneaking laser cameras over the parapets to nick drivers daring to exceed that?Yes, I was on it yesterday. No problem at all.
Someone has been telling you porkies! the money stays down there...I think you'll find that overall the cash flow is from the south to the north. Like it is from the UK mainland to N. Thanks for the complement ,the difference of course is that my "stories" have a factual basis and Fairy Stories don't employ facts....I did? OK. If you say so. You seem pretty good yourself when it comes to telling stories. If I may be so bold as to suggest.
That's nonsense, London alone contributes $50 billions annually to the rest of the country from its financial services income, and most of that goes northwards.maybe it is to do with the amount of money that is pumped into the Southeast at the expense of the rest of the country
The Welsh are famous for their sheep.wasn't the Welsh devolution referendum decided by about a half % on a turnout of 50%, but was accepted without any fuss.
I see flecc disagrees...Someone has been telling you porkies! the money stays down there...
No divine right, just reporting all the envy that Northerners keep expressing against London and the South East.Actually we were arguing about Flecc's divine right to tell us Northerners we
are envious of the dump called London.
Not my thread, I only started it and accept no blame. This is Fleccs thread!
Don’t you dare criticise him!
For shame!
That's obfuscation OG, using terms like "relative" and picking on lowest tax points in the capital. Londoners pay very comparable council tax for properties that are a fraction of the size in most areas, often only a room or two.I see flecc disagrees...
Rather different View from North Yorkshire
"People in North Yorkshire pay almost twice as much council tax in relative terms as those in urban and London boroughs like Westminster and Camden and receive less Government funding, yet the costs tend to be higher. The council continues to push for a fairer government funding deal."
Remind me; which part of the UK generates the most money?maybe it is to do with the amount of money that is pumped into the Southeast at the expense of the rest of the country
But surely London and the South-East is Remain and the North largely Leave?Hilarious isn't it? collectively we have allowed one off topic post to not merely deflect the discussion of brexit on the thread, but cause a North v South argument!
North Britain seems to be pretty solid remain. But surely London and the South-East is Remain and the North largely Leave?
So not really off topic, South and Remain being right and North and Leave being wrong.
.
I had to give a disagree, sorry.North Britain seems to be pretty solid remain.
I've been wondering where this "north" people are posting about actually is. All the place names I've seen mentioned are south of here.I had to give a disagree, sorry.
I think you meant Scotland, North Great Britain.
.
Well I know for a fact that is not so for N. Ireland (who have a massive subsidy from the rest of the UK) - and I've a pretty good idea its also not so of some of the poorer areas up north either. As it should be too in my opinion I might add.Someone has been telling you porkies! the money stays down there...
Just following the usage of James VI and I.I had to give a disagree, sorry.
I think you meant Scotland, North Great Britain.
