There is another possibility of course. That the people closer to the seat of power,eg the Home Counties, have systematically gamed the system so that those on the peripheral areas are denuded of investment .

Seriously? Why is Wales and NI and Scotland poorer than London? If you're not aware of the history of this country then I'm not sure I can help you. Study the history. Look at how London developed to become the city it is.

What I meant was Scotland as in North Britain (as used way back at the time of the Union) and that the map has changed since 2016. Certainly the area I am more aware of, Wales, is much more pro-remain that is it was at the time of the referendum.
