More on Farage's pal's arrest

LONDON—When Nigel Farage, Mr. Brexit, watched Donald Trump accept the Republican Party’s presidential nomination at the convention last year he had an extremely unlikely companion. His closest aide on the trip was an offshore investment expert who had boasted on the dark web about his ability to launder money illegally in and out of the United States.

The aide, George Cottrell, was busted at Chicago’s O’Hare airport on his way home to London on July 22, 2016. He would later plead guilty to participating in a scheme “to advertise money laundering services on a TOR network black-market website.”

With questions being raised about a dark money influence on Brexit—and the election of Donald Trump—all of this begs the question: who was this criminal operative chosen to accompany Farage at the RNC where he met with some of Trump’s best known boosters, including Newt Gingrich and Roger Stone?

It was reported earlier this year that Farage is a person of interest in the FBI’s Russia-Trump probe. He appeared alongside Trump at a rally in Mississippi in August 2016, and was one of the first foreign politicians to visit Trump Tower after the shock election victory.

As well as Cottrell’s advertised ability to transmit money across borders without detection, he was well versed in the world of offshore and cross-border banking. Despite having no political experience, this was the man—aged just 22 at the time—Farage chose to run his office at the height of the battle for Brexit. He was also the co-director of Brexit fundraising for UKIP.

From the state the bleeding obvious department. Nonetheless, needs to be said.

Wales less prosperous after Brexit deal, says first minister
Wales will be less prosperous under Theresa May's draft Brexit deal, according to the first minister.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-46334228
This is not a draft agreement it is an agreement, subject only to ratification. And will be the agreement until someone of the stature of UK PM publical repudiates it. Is that so difficult to follow?.
Whether she should have signed it prior to a meeting of your Parliament, is for yourselves in the UK to agree, but our PM the redoubtable Leo, did sign it after agreement in our Parliament.

The following is one of the bits from the law of unintended consequences.
Apparently the EU have agreed that the UK will have to be outside the security umbrella,as regards crculation of some documents and admittance to meetings.. This is not any way a reflection on the UKs competence, and the EU would dearly like the status quo to continue, but a realisation that a similar courtesy would need to be extended to Turkey, and Cyprus and Greece would be having none of that thank you. !.

The brexit brigade have probably never heard of the law of unintended consequences. Even if they have, they have failed to understand it. And if they did, they have ploughed on utterly regardless as if wearing blinkers.

Feelings on Brexit in Holyhead explored

https://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1849334937001?bckey=AQ~~,AAABogn1yyk~,LkRilRH4kedNk-13aFn_KvUuwIQyITxo&bctid=5970863373001&secureConnections=true&secureHTMLConnections=true&autoStart=false&height=100%25&width=100%25&autoplay=1&auto_play=true

Fascinating that in fact many are either indifferent or wildly optimistic, like one chap who wanted Holyhead to be filled with worldwide traffic.
He said you have to be ambitious, but clearly geography isn't his strong suit

Many indeed seem to think that the rise of supermarkets and the EU are somehow connected, and that the EU is as one described it a "miniscule market" compared to the rest of the world.
Blissfully unaware we are already trading with the rest of the world already and are in the process of losing that access we will struggle to get back after leaving the EU

The level of ignorance and apathy among the public over whether Brexit matters at all makes me more and more convinced that as a nation we are sleep walking into disaster.

A very unlikely headline in the Independent this morning
"
Brexit: High Court to rule if referendum vote ‘void’ as early as Christmas.

The High Court will rule as early as Christmas whether Brexit should be declared “void”, in a legal case given a turbo-boost by the criminal investigation into Leave funder Arron Banks.

Judges are poised to fast track the potentially explosive challenge, after Theresa May’s refusal to act on the growing evidence of illegality in the 2016 referendum campaign, The Independent can reveal.

Lawyers describe that failure as “absolutely extraordinary” – given the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) probe into suspicions of “multiple” criminal offences committed by Mr Banks and the Leave.EU campaign.
stmas after Arron Banks investigation

Exclusive: Judges poised to fast-track explosive legal challenge after Theresa May’s ‘failure to act’ on growing evidence of illegality

Now that would be a perfect Christmas Present for the Entire population of the UK (Including the Leave Voters if there still are any)

There's more leave voters than remainers.

Or did you miss the result of the referendum?

Not at all, why do you ask?
It was a simple question without anyone having the remotest idea of the consequences.
Correctly there was more leave voters at that date.
Can you say the same now?
May has botched the negotiations up big time, and there is no hope of any other group doing any better.
And as we see revealed every day more and more problems and less and less reason to be optimistic of profiting from it , so why are you against people having another vote?

But ignoring all that ,answer this truthfully
What's in it for you that you have even a remote chance of getting, ever?

Seriously, when you compare that with what is now on offer....... How dare they?
There's nothing else they can do, is there?
This way with any luck they will still be able to run some speculatory currency and shares scams and protect offshore assets if they can con the public and get it through.

Macron warns he will FORCE Britain into Irish border 'backstop' if it does not give the French access to UK fishing waters
  • Macron risked fuelling Brexiteers' anger at the end of the EU summit in Brussels
  • He said the threat of keeping Britain in a customs union would be 'leverage'
  • France and several other EU nations are determined to keep fishing in UK waters
Mercifully it will all come to nowt thanks to the DUP and associates :p

and as for a second referendum, one of your Lefty heroes doesn`t fancy the chances......Oh well!

Abbott: Leave would win second referendum

Labour’s Diane Abbott has admitted that her party may still opportunistically call for a second EU referendum – but that she thinks Leave would win again.

Speaking to the BBC, the veteran pro-EU lefty said: “First of all, I’m saying a second referendum is not off the table for the Labour Party.

“We passed that as a resolution at conference as one of a series of options.

“But yeah, people should be careful what they wish for, because my view is that if we had a second referendum tomorrow Leave would win again and not only would Leave win again but leave voters would say what didn’t you understand about Leave the first time.”

The British people were promised that the government would implement their vote. 17.4 million voted for Brexit. To have another vote would be a disgrace to democracy.

But given that Merkel and Macron are now openly calling for an EU Army, the unelected EU Commission are blocking Italy’s budget and the fury there would be if the public were told vote again, Leave would win by an even bigger margin.

Some of the lefty losers here should take note of what Tony Benn observed many years ago...
Ds2NFgkWkAA544K.jpg

In his diary, (25 October 1977) Benn wrote that he "loathed" the EEC; he claimed it was "bureaucratic and centralised" and "of course it is really dominated by Germany. All the Common Market countries except the UK have been occupied by Germany, and they have this mixed feeling of hatred and subservience towards the Germans".

You really are delusional if you think the majority of the population consider such issues when voting. They are only concerned with the issues directly affecting them.

And all the polls say you are wrong, now typically 54/46 in favour of remaining, more than double the majority the other way at the referendum.
