And yet again in Japan:

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/nov/24/nissan-crisis-new-light-japan-inc-awkward-secrets-carlos-ghosn

I can't see Nissan coming out of this with a clean nose. There was a secret plan inside Renault to do a 100% takeover if the rumour mill is correct. Either this arrest is intended to accelerate the fact or to try and stop it.
This is a huge own goal by the Japanese and thoroughly bad news for Nissan. Carlos Ghosn has worked miracles for them over his 20 year tenure, changing them from very much an "also ran" to being a key player in many markets and a successful pioneer in electric vehicles. The whole motor industry is hugely respectful of what he's achieved.

The stupidity of the situation of him taking undeclared money is the Japanese system of considerably underpaying their top executives. If Nissan had coughed up what he was worth in international terms he may never have been tempted to take more under the counter.

Ireland
Honouring the result of the deeply questionable referendum. NOT the current option of the population (not even the electorate, I think).

The logic of the immigration system would, surely, imply that we should not be permitted freedom of movement even within the UK. After all, that is based on location not skills and talents. Perhaps I will have my passport rescinded because it is based on my birth in Yorkshire? It certainly implies changes to the rights of the Irish.
What ..they LET people out of Yorkshire??. Who knew?.

Theresa May has today published a letter in national papers asking for the electorate to support her Brexit deal....this is the height of hyprocisy....she is reaching out to the country to support her deal but won’t give the country a chance to vote on her deal.
KudosDave
And her letter contains a pack of lies anyway, such as "we will take back control of our borders" and "take back control of our laws" and "take back control of our money", with her dishonest inference that £394 millions a week for the NHS is from our leaving the EU.

All of the dishonest claims of the Leave campaign rehashed in an effort to convince. It won't work.

I don't know what it is but there seems to be a two way flow between the North and Wales. Yorkshireman Oyster now living in West Wales is just one example of many. That pseudo northerner John Prescott was born and brought up in Wales, moving as an adult to the north.

Maybe HS2 should run between Yorkshire and Wales via Manchester.

We vote in a government to govern, we can't have public votes on every step of every poxy decision.

In any case, you only want a vote because you think there's a good chance of a result you will like.

Are you Sturgeon in disguise?
He doesn't look like a fish, does he?

Well if it's a good idea, you should be able to sail through, with pro Brexit result. why you've even got Dianne Abbott on your side!

What could possibles go wrong?

Don’t forget the referendum was only advisory to parliament, they don’t have to accept the 2016 result.
Actually May’s deal is not welcomed by either Leavers or Remainers,I was and am a Remainer but would accept if the second vote still voted leave, but that vote would be a choice between leaving on May’s deal or Remain, very few seem to want no deal.
Not keen on Sturgeon, she sees Brexit as a route to another Scottish independence vote. I struggle to find anyone in parliament that I respect,Theresa May has to be respected for her tenacity but it seems wrongly directed and she has given away too much to the EU....I like Keir Starmer but for selfish reasons wouldn’t want a labour government.
Raab (a committed Leaver) said that May’s deal would be worse than remain, that in itself is a justification for another vote.
KudosDave
I reckon May is right when she said a few minutes ago:
  • "There should not be that second referendum," Theresa May told the media.

"The public would expect parliament to vote on the deal. For most people in the UK they want a deal done and want us to get on with focusing more clearly on the issues that matter to them day to day."
Spot on, we are all bored with Brexit, get it done, and get on with running the country.

Not even the electorate? Who voted for the conservatives to govern and who puts JC up as leader of the opposition? Remember, JC is one of those wanting to trigger A50 as soon as possible after the referendum.
I give up and admit sadly. both of your questions fit the category
"A mystery that passeth all Human understanding and can only be explained as an act by a Vengeful God"
Style of thing.

Are you actually saying you want Parliament to vote and presumably accept this deal?
Where does any of it fit with the vote leave result?
I can understand that you belong to some mysterious "we" group but you sure are willing to take any old rubbish as a result, aren't you?

Here's the deal explained.
You buy groceries and the till operator says that will be £100 please, cash or card?
And you say here's £200 cash, keep the change?

I quake at the notion of them focusing more clearly on the issues that matter to them day to day.
My God, aren't we in enough bother already?

The only benefit from Brexit I have seen to date is that it stopped the blighters meddling in an even more harmful way than they already are!

No no no! you misunderstand! getting us to leave is the trick, they've tried gassing us out with the biggest coal fired power stations in Europe, neglected sea defences to the point that half of Yorkshire is gone already and even that didn't work

I agree about Yorkshire to Wales. I know several Yorkshire folk who now live here. Along with quite a lot of Brummies.

Not at all true! To be factual, your piece should read:

'For most people in England, they want a deal done…etc'

From recent opinion polls, it appears that Scotland, NI & Wales plus Gibraltar, would prefer to remain inside the EU.
