It isn't just Brexit that is coming apart at the seams!
From the Daily Mail
"
Baffled passengers are left stranded after train gets 'lost' in West Yorkshire after 'taking a wrong turn'
  • CrossCountry train from Newcastle to Reading stopped at Pontefract, Yorkshire
  • Gobsmacked passengers took to social media to say driver had 'got lost'
  • Train was eventually re-directed to Sheffield where the journey was terminated
  • CrossCountry say they are looking into the cause of the bizarre incident
Bloody Sat Nav!............................OH!

Now we've had a laugh this is a reader comment.
"
Typical they only report half the story as usual the train had been diverted because of a earlier incident so was not in fact lost the train operators and signalling staff knew exactly where it was, it was probably announced to the passengers what was happening but as usual someone wasn't listening, probably too busy faffing about on twitter. LOL"

But this was after all in the Daily Mail......and Truth should never be allowed to get in the way of a good story, should it?

the Daily Mail printed this today

We're on the road to Car-mageddon: From JOHN NEILL, the boss of Britain's biggest automotive firms, a devastating indictment of how hard Brexit will drive his industry to ruin

Very odd for them to do that!

Face the reality' of Brexit and don't blame us when it goes wrong, EU's chief negotiator tells UK
Michel Barnier tells British government negotiations ‘cannot be a game of hide and seek’ as he warns deal is impossible unless Theresa May backs down over role of European courts
Mr Barnier said there would be no withdrawal agreement or transition period unless the UK agrees to a continued role for the European Court of Justice in determining disputes involving the UK after Brexit – something Ms May has repeatedly ruled out.

they may prepare their readership to why a clean brexit can't be done.
John Neill made the point about hard brexit will hurt exports because the UK doesn't produce much content of the export product, he can't certify that the product is of UK origin, a point often not understood.
Even if we sign loads of trade deals with WTO countries, we can't benefit from them because of these rules of origin, 55% of the content must be made in the UK. John Neill reckons 25% of his cars is made with parts produced in the UK. They create an admin nightmare. No wonder the government is quietly preparing to cancel brexit.

The BBC currently says:
Brexit: I don't wish to be PM, says Jacob Rees-Mogg

Well, for a change, there is a measure of agreement - I most certainly don't want him to be PM. In fact, I'd be rather happy if he disappeared to, say, Romania and we never again heard of him.

This sad tale in the attached video clip is symptomatic of life in tory Britain in the 21st century. We have been transformed into a 'me, me, me' society where no-one gives a hist for anyone else and we have become blasé about all the horror we see on TV news and read about in the mainstream press.

There is something seriously wrong with a society that allows billions to be spent on nuclear missiles, the delivery systems and the aircraft, ships and submarines required to operate these doomsday weapons while we have people sleeping in shop doorways and alleys most of us would think twice about walking down.

It seems we have become inured to the personal violence frequently used by bad people on our streets and to the kind of robbery and computer theft, blackmail and such like we hear about in the news.

The politicians don't care and their lack of empathy with the people suffering because of all the horror is reflected by their failure to look after the NHS, always seeking to abolish it in favour of insurance-based health care for those who can afford it. The people of this country need to hold their MPs to account and should have a legal right to sack them when they break their promises and fail to represent their constituents.

It wouldn't cost a lot of money to fix the problem of homeless people but politicians aren't even trying:

Of course he doesn't, as an intelligent man he knows how impossible the job will be with the economic losses due to leaving the EU and the resultant public anger.

Put more clearly, Jacob Rees-Mogg doesn't care how much damage full UK independence will do to most people's lives, just so long as he can achieve his personal nineteenth century dream.

It amuses me to watch Jon Snow interview the liar-in-chief about her failure to reward the nurses because she has no money for that but suddenly finds a billion for the political wing of the protestant terrorist groups in NI. May attempts to evade the issue by referring to the public sector, the pay review body and then says the DUP would have got that money anyway but then changes her mind and rabbits on about city deals........oh, it's just pathetic!

As if the government hasn't got enough troubles, it's being exposed that where the sanctions against Russia are concerned, it's business as usual with no enforcement. In the last 20 years over £200 billions of Russian money have poured into the UK and it continues unabated.

An amusing side story. The Chelsea Flower Show has just been held with it's magnificent garden displays seen by the Queen among others. One of the gardens was set up and sponsored by a Russian financial organisation that's under supposedly strict no dealing sanctions.

There is no surprise for me in this photo but it is rather sickening:

Proof that Brexit lies and our UK media are hand in glove. Sarah Sands BBC Radio 4 Today editor lunching at a garden party with Murdoch, Farage and Liam Fox. Brexit is a National Scandal and has to be stopped.

I wouldn't want him to be lonely, we could all club together and hire a Double Decker Bus, there should be enough room for him to take the entire Conservative Party Membership with him

Now, aren't you glad you're not flying out of Stansted this morning!

View attachment 24947

Dozens of flights awaiting departure from Stansted Airport are stuck on the tarmac without fuel.

Lightning struck the airport's fuel depot overnight. Stansted are not accepting inbound flights as a result. Updates will follow. #StanstedStrikes

A fuel dump that isn't protected from lightning?

Ye gods!

Mind, it sometimes appears that many in the tory party hate each other more intensely than those fundamentally opposed to that party and all who sail in her. So that choice of people to accompany him could be far from welcome. :)
