Robinson on the TV,took a pack of cards to Mansfield Notts ,70% Leave voting area. He showed the cards to an older couple and asked which people should be want to retain in the UK...
He showed the lady a chef....her reply,we are short of those.
a care worker......definitely got to keep those
a farm worker......we need those to harvest the crops
a nurse.........very important we need more nurses.
He pointed out to this woman that she wanted to retain every EU worker he had shown her,so which workers should we restrict....the lady was dumbstruck
So her turned to the guy and asked why he voted Leave....he said we can make our own laws. So he asked which EU law he wanted rid of?....he was dumbstruck.
So why did you vote leave...we can take back control.!!!!!
But we are supposed to respect these stupid people.

Different people had different reasons for voting to leave the EU. It is my belief that all their reasons were wrong. Unfortunately, even stupid people are allowed to vote and this brief video excerpt is descriptive of so many:

You are not being Fair again Tom
I can think of a lot of people who have taken over jobs and they aren't working.
Collectively they are called Conservative Mp's.

Of course there is an argument in favour of not disturbing them, as when they last attempted to work we ended up with Brexit!
And we don't want any more of that nonsense do we?

Let them sleep in the HOC Bars where they belong.

Something to cheer Tommie up in the Independent

Labour demands full Commons vote on £410m instalment from the Tories’ £1bn DUP deal
‘We had been assured that there would be scrutiny over these additional funds and a vote’

Anybody know how much profit there is in 48 Typhoon fighters? Does anyone care about how and where the Saudis will utilise these war machines?

I look forward to my share of the profit under the 'trickle-down' concept I've heard so much about but somehow, I expect it might never happen. I wouldn't mind if my share of the crumbs was held back to pay for more police officers or to shorten NHS waiting lists but somehow, I can't see that happening either.

This is the view taken by the AAV web blogger and I see no reason to disagree with him;

'Just in case you wondered what all the grovelling to Saudi tyrants over the last few days has been in aid of, the Tory government have just signed a memorandum of intent to supply the Saudi regime with 48 Typhoon jets.

The Tories know perfectly well that the Saudis have been using British weapons to commit savage war crimes in Yemen, but they're going ahead with the sale regardless.

This opportunistic profiteering from Saudi war crimes is absolutely shameful, but then this abomination of a Tory government clearly has no shame at all.'

As the saying goes, thick as two short planks.

The confusion in his mind shows in his expression.
.
Yes but judging all leavers by this young lad would be like judging remainers on Tom...wouldnt be fair at all..

Food for thoughts this morning:

quote

Many Britons believe the empire was a good thing. A 2014 YouGov poll of 1,741 people across Britain showed 59% felt the empire was something to be proud of and only 19% thought it was something to be ashamed of. Almost half the respondents felt the colonies were better off for being colonised; only 15% felt they were worse off.

end quote

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/mar/10/empire-strikes-back-why-former-colonies-dont-need-britain-after-brexit

the fault is clearly how history is taught in the UK.
