Thought you,d jump.in, comes with a guarantee. Now have a go at Tom. You cant.
Another hypocrit.
OG you have been devoted over past months to spotting poor behaviour, silly comments, bad reporting etc etc both on tho thread and in public life but you fail in the slightest to comment on worse ones by certain individuals on here. To be honest you have completely lost any objectivity I assumed you had...and why ? To offer some un deserved support to a fool. I dont understand it at all. He has gone way beyond any realms of decency on more than one occasion yet you fail to do exactly what you do for every other person on thread, ie review their comments critically.

Saying mine and Peterl,s comments are anything like Tom's is ridiculous. When did either of us bring Myra Hindley into thread. I wonder what replies a leaver would have accumulated had they said anything like Tom.
And by the way I consider 90% of Tom,s posts OT...because they are. Perhaps you could point it out to him aswell.
Since you seem to have cornered the market I'll leave that up to you, why don't you simply give it up? it really is completely off topic.

This am on the today programme labour's shadow Chancellor did a relatively reasonable job of describing in part that offshore tax avoiding capital is what really propel brexit, they care about the implications of a hard border, the recession that follows brexit as much as they cared about the peace process, public services when they yanked Theresa's chain to get her to sabotage it by bribing the dup with our money
I have to agree with Peter I cannot understand the point made...

Very funny! I doubt you will find that I said I had never voted Tory? I'm certainly not a member of their, or indeed anyone else's, Party. Not so sure about Tom however, he chose not to answer the question.
You may have never been a member of the Party but that does not mean that you are not a Tory. Your ideology as you present it here is certainly in line with their policies and.........bugger....there's that duck again.

Not that sure I would agree with Mr McDonald but I certainly don't understand what you write here Steb. Perhaps, I could ask that you rephrase it so that I can at least understand what he said earlier?
and there I was thinking you and Mr Mcdonald would be the most intimate bedfellows. nudge nudge, wink wink. Practically it seems clear to me that we're heading for a hard brexit, and border, that won't work and cause massive collateral damage; followed by a labour victory in the next ge and a costly return to eu membership.

So what? I probably do have more in common with the Conservatives. Shouldn't really concern you and yes, I was deliberate in my use of Conservative.

Well there you are, we seem to moved from Mr McDonald to your own opinion? Anyway, I'm more optimistic than you seem to be about the end result. It's always been very clear to me that this was going to be a rocky road with many claims and counter claims along the way. I wasn't quite ready for the amount of venom displayed together with misinformation from the media. That said, given the lack of concrete real-time reporting by the negotiators, probably inevitable.

Ireland is something totally different, almost personal for most of us I guess. I'm sure we all 'hope' it will turn out well and again I sincerely believe that it will, far too much at stake to let either Brexit, the DUP or even the EU get in the way. I hope that comment doesn't inflame the usual culprits on here. It's only my rather wishful opinion, I'm not the Government, nor am I negotiating.

Not 'wishful opinion', more misinformed destructive bit of acting out. Those who supported brexit, like you, have inflicted all this damage on the UK. The fact that you lack the self awareness to realise that does not exonerate you. As an aside, I'm very optimistic. This costly detour should put the ugly racist extreme in the Conservative Party back in their little box for at least 20 years. And a much diminished UK will hopefully not offer any fig leaves for more US imperialism

The European Union
what would happen if a soft border between NI and the ROI turns out to be impossible after brexit?
I can't see how it can work quite frankly. The extra load will be put on Ireland's customs, they will have to do the checking.

I can't see the channel border working either, just look at the line of trucks on the French side thanks to inspection for illegal immigrants. The same trucks on the way back will be stopped for control by customs. UK customs are already suspected by the EU of not doing their job fully. These things can only get messier.

He might be, but as someone fairly familiar with the US system, that doesn't seem to be the case over there does it.
Credit where credit due though Peter...Chomsky and Grayling are rather more deserving of Tom's hero worshipping than Billy Bragg and Sivier...
Chomsky is a great human being, one of few Americans brave enough to speak out against Vietnam at the time...everybody knows what Muhamad Ali had to say about the war, very few know what Chomsky said..but he shouldn't be on same page as Sivier and Bragg...that is an insult.
Cant say anything against Chomsky or Grayling..

Oh dear, any thoughts of bon-homme on here were soon dashed. Another load of garbage insults. Where on earth where you dragged up? No P&Q's in your lonely life that's for sure!

China-designed UK nuclear reactor plan clears first assessment stage

LONDON (Reuters) - The first Chinese-designed atomic reactor for use in Britain moved a step closer to fruition on Thursday as the UK nuclear regulator said it had completed the first stage of its assessment of the technology.

Rejoice! It's all going according to plan according to the Telegraph
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/10336888/Good-news-foreigners-are-buying-up-Britain.html

I have a question
if 53.2 % of the Companies are Foreign owned, isn't that making the job of Brexit creating a rebirth of our fortunes a case of fighting to succeed with less than half a country , which is a small one in any case?

We are going to be fighting a war on two fronts, unless of course the Foreign Companies bail out and leave us in the lurch.
Then what will be do?
