Is that another statement of your imminent departure from this thread?Fairly sure that a few more weeks on here will sort me out.
Last time, you didn't stay away very long.....well, not long enough for me anyway!

Indeed it would.......and for those who cannot afford 'Dignitas', it certainly offers a buzz on the way out!Wouldn't life be more exciting if they mounted male connectors just like plug tops , with the live current available on the walls...
But it took Network Rail to find yet another type.Eskimos had over two hundred different words for snow, without which their conversation would probably have got very monotonous. So they would distinguish between thin snow and thick snow, light snow and heavy snow, sludgy snow, brittle snow, snow that came in flurries, snow that came in drifts, snow that came in on the bottom of your neighbor’s boots all over your nice clean igloo floor, the snows of winter, the snows of spring, the snows you remember from your childhood that were so much better than any of your modern snow, fine snow, feathery snow, hill snow, valley snow, snow that falls in the morning, snow that falls at night, snow that falls all of a sudden just when you were going out fishing, and snow that despite all your efforts to train them, the huskies have pissed on.

Now then Zlatan, all's fair in love and war, and this thread sure is all out warfare!Tom
You have called Tories scum, leavers idiots,Tillsin, myself and Woosh racists ( and myself a troll ) and alikekened the Queen to Myra Hindley. Your replies to Woosh and Peterl have been disgusting. Why dont you do remain a favour and stop posting. You are a great advert for leaving.
The British establishment wanted to remain. ( well the Tories did)Does this give anyone a clue as to why the British establishment and their paid lackeys want out of the EU?

Lets hope not flecc. We should be able to express opinions without resorting to war ??? I really think Tom would take up arms against leavers,...and Tories...and Royalists...and Trolls...but fair point...Now then Zlatan, all's fair in love and war, and this thread sure is all out warfare!

You left out - Initially press ganged by Heath then lied to by Wilson.Just a little reminder what the EU has always been about
So please, please no more corny arguments that we didn't know what we were getting into.
If you personally didn't know, then as the saying goes
"You should have gone to Specsavers"
Agreed, I've made exactly this point, but it didn't stop me knowing that what I voted for was for increasing union. As much as the politicians, the public were the problem through not taking any interest beyond their own little sphere. Surely even back then we knew that politicians routinely lie to get their own way, so what they say needs checking? You left out - Initially press ganged by Heath then lied to by Wilson.
Don't worry about the Daniel bit... It is actually correct... My keyboard stuttered when I was enrolling. At my stage in life, I am all in favour of European standards, and so would you if you tried to do plumbing on old houses. There is a slight but important difference in the thickness of copper tubing and their olives ....( I much prefer to use compression fittings) for piping purchased in Ireland, in England .. including NI and France. ..and maybe different also in other countries. The wrong combinations will leak.Daniel
Exactly right and why cant we use both systems when appropriate? Yes, obviously SI is easier for engineering ( but we didn't do badly with Whitworth/ AF etc)
Making people buy in undesired units is wrong.
Why is it some remainers ( not flecc/ Daniel) have taken brexit as an excuse to be so vindictive ? Perhaps Tom would like to offer his excuse ?
My spell check corrects to Daniel. ( sorry)
Don't for goodness sake change, that would reduce your entertainment value! You're so lacking in discernible prick tendencies, you're actually a prick because it. Either a lying prick, or so annoying nice, it makes you an annoying prick. Sort your life out.
Fairly sure that a few more weeks on here will sort me out.
Apart from the one's who wanted to leave of course, meaning about half? The British establishment wanted to remain. ( well the Tories did)
But we have eventually reached the final point, after being denied by politicians a voice on previous Treaty changes, of being unable to fool all of the people all of the time and the people have spoken - we are leaving the EU.Agreed, I've made exactly this point, but it didn't stop me knowing that what I voted for was for increasing union. I now prefer push fit...O rings etc...Done well they last for years, never leak and sections can be removed , without spanners and stressing pipes...no problems going copper to plastic...you must use the little aluminium inserts tho... I am constantly reminded of the mars spacecraft which deployed it's chute 1 metre underground, because of a mismatch between subcontractors working in Imperial or US measurements and others in metric.
I won't speculate as to why people trade insults... Though in fairness you yourself are not behind the door. My tendency, with few exceptions is to play the ball not the man...
Fear not, or at least as long as that malicious old fart remains spouting his rubbish and throwing insults.Don't for goodness sake change, that would reduce your entertainment value!

Both gallons had their origin in the Winchester bushel centuries ago, but that was refined independently by both lands. The end result is that the US gallon is some 20% smaller than ours and they have different numbers of fluid ounces. Both have 32 gills per gallon, but the US gallon has 4 fluid ounces per gill, the Imperial gallon 5 fluid ounces per gill.American Gallons are quite an anomaly too...where on earth did they come from...???
