My front light is a different shape Phill. It's fine anyhow. I'm after something that puts a bit of light to the left and right sides. Anything considered, if anyone knows of anything suitable.
I do have a helmet light in my bag. It's just pitch black to the left and right of the bike, when riding through the park at night.I used to ride with 2. One on the bike and one on my helmet then just look where you want to go..
Thanks for the link WickyI'm happy with the broad illumination provided by my Philips SafeRide 80 USB LED Bike Light http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/BF48L20BBLX1/led-bike-lights-saferide
My personal favorite. You can get them from bike-discount.de now so a bit cheaperI've been looking at the Busch & Müller lights - they seem decent quality and set are set up to work with e-bikes.
Will have to make sure that they are bright enough - depending on which commuter route I take - it might get a bit dark.
I'd prefer cabled in lights - I already end up carrying far too many cables, chargers etc - and seems a fairly simple job to wire them up.
This works fine in the NHS when your chances of a repeat need for good service or a favour from the same individual isn't really the same.A friend of mine works in a hospital.
She told me the patient who complains the loudest gets the most prompt attention.
The patient who is, er, patient, and understanding of the difficulties faced by health service staff is made to wait.
I expect the dealer us more concerned than you about the kph / mph scenarioI have a few bike shops around me and my go to store is determined not by price, but how they deal with me. I do a lot of research before making a major purchase so that I am as well informed as I can be and and be ask the right questions, but with my bike shop options, one just cant be bothered, one tells me what I want to hear and one makes me feel like I am a valued customer and that my opinion matters.
That's why I have spent over £9000 on bikes at Ilkley Cycles..
I wrote to Giant.. Not negatively complaining or asking for refunds/discounts but in a more positive way expressing my admiration for a good product but also my disappointment that this small issue seemed to be have over looked. In the past this approach has served me well and I had a detailed reply this Morning which I thought I would share..I would suggest Giant won't reply, so you're wasting your time.
Leave it to Ilkley to sort out, they are good guys and I'm sure will either get you a 2017 display or find out how to adjust the software.
Its not a big deal, and bikes are not legally required to have a speedo so there is certainly no legal requirement for it to be in one format or the other.
I am not really upset about it .. its just a minor annoyance..I personally wouldn't get upset over kph only. I don't have a speedo on my bike and I'm not that bothered by it.
I agree, an annoyance - and won't ruin the fun I'm having with the bike - it really is a cracker.I am not really upset about it .. its just a minor annoyance..

You'd expect a cycle computer, because it was on the bike advert when you bought it, and you were promised a fix by the end of the week, because it's a glaringly 'obvious' issue for a UK bike. If that were me, I'd be taking it further.A Giant load of Blarney said:Bicycles as standard do not come with cycle computers and there is no law to supply a computer with a bicycle so there was no reason why we could not bring in the bicycle in its current European guise.
We used people as 'test pilots' said:Due to the success of the Road E Giant will launch an model that will in the future come with MPH
Just take the apology and go said:this model will have slightly different electronics meaning that we are unable to retro fit the new dash to the MY16 model bicycle.
