    stealth bomber 12000watt

It’s not a Stealth Bomber. It’s a bike put together using bits and pieces from eBay. And the 30H error is probably a motor hall sensor problem. If you take the motor apart to replace the hall sensors be careful when you put it back together. The magnets are very powerful and you will lose the...

My bike is barely engaging the motor then it flashes error 24

Error 24 on a KD58C display is hall sensor abnormality. So either the hall sensor connector isn’t making proper contact or there is an actual problem with the motor hall sensors. Here is a link of the procedure to test the hall sensors: https://ebikes.ca/documents/HallSensorTestingFinal.pdf

How long should voltage remain in battery?

You have got your multimeter set to 20 volts full scale. If you set it to 200 volts full scale you will get a voltage reading.

E-bike seizures surge as police take 'death traps' off the streets

Those photographs on the Sky News report don’t make any sense to me. Nobody in their right mind would park their e-bike at a train station bike shed without locking it up. So did the Police unlock the bikes to pull them out and then switch them on to test them? And they can’t go around...

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

You don’t want to connect the battery when you do this test. What you are currently experiencing is probably normal cogging, but it’s worth doing the short circuit test for peace of mind.

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

You can easily test the motor for potential shorted windings by connecting two of the phase wires together. Then when you rotate the wheel in either direction you should feel more cogging on the motor. Then connect all three phase wires together and the cogging resistance should increase...

    EBike Built like mopeds?

Those Eskutas are really quite good and they sell a road legal higher powered moped version as well with a different motor and without pedals for a reasonable price. And they do a hire to own scheme which is ideal for delivery riders.

    Thumb throttle not working

Larkbox asked the question because for compliance reasons the display/controller should be set up so you have to peddle first to activate the throttle. So if you peddle, does motor respond to the throttle?

Melted cables at the control unit

I have seen this loads of times. You need to use better quality connectors.

RX/TX connection between A2B Kuo+ battery and controller

Your bike has a canbus system, so you will not have any joy in fitting an aftermarket controller unless you replace the battery management system.

DVSA Market Surveillance apparently ramping up illegal eBike investigations

You can legally sell a brand new e-bike in the UK that’s not road legal. You just can’t ride it in public places. It’s exactly the same for off road motorcycles. That’s why I don’t see the DVSA being able to do anything about stopping the Chinese imports via European warehouses. And all they...

DVSA Market Surveillance apparently ramping up illegal eBike investigations

I’m not sure the DVSA going to be able to crack down on those companies advertising on eBay who deliver directly from warehouses in Poland and Eire? Illegal e-bikes seem to flow in quite easily to the UK from China via European warehouses.

    wheel noise with new controller

If it has a hall sensor connector then it will be a KT square wave sensored controller. Not all KT square wave controllers are sensorless. You can try to cross check it here. https://ebikesolution.co.uk/collections/ebike-controllers Ebike solutions have a good selection of KT controllers of...

    Help please Noise

The thin wires are connected to the hall sensors. All of your testing must be done on the thin wires. The thick wires are the motor phase wires. You should have red, black, yellow, blue, green and white thin wires. Forget about white, that is usually for the speed sensor. Red and Black thin...

    Help please Noise

I don’t think you are doing the hall test properly. Make sure you rotate the wheel backwards so the clutch doesn’t engage. 4.3v on red is usually the supply voltage and won’t switch when the wheel is slowly rotated. You should see green, yellow and blue switch between 1.8v and 4.3v as you...

Only powers on when I unplug battery and reconnect

I’m thinking an electronic component in the display is not working properly, either out of tolerance or failed completely and is causing an input to the processor to not latch on/off when the switch is turned off. So the display needs to be completely powered down for the input to reset...

Only powers on when I unplug battery and reconnect

That’s handy. You can make wiring changes without destroying the display cable. Are you able to measure the voltage on each of those red wires to ground? One of them may be battery voltage and the other may be low voltage. You may be able to switch the low voltage line to remove power from...

    Throttle wiring

Could it be for the stupid KT lighting circuit? That’s just a guess. Opening the controller is definitely the answer in this case.

Only powers on when I unplug battery and reconnect

Yep it is a bit of a hack, but I think that will be the lesser of all evils and won’t completely spoil the bike.
