Not that I've done it to my Max Drive, but Bafang do seem to be a bit stingy with the secondary drive grease from factory on BBS motors, so it may follow that it's a good preventative measure? Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

I too had one of these, with fluro pink and black bar tape. Wasn't I just the bees knees! ;) Nowt wrong with keeping it real with a bit of steel :) Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

No amusement taken. ;) I only had a quick look before and didn't tinker with the drop down box so thought they were somehow managing to offer BBSHD for £439. You said your eyes were watering, my eyes are now like Niagara Falls having clocked the £715 price tag. I'm with you now. I've used...

I thought it was pretty darn reasonable price, from a reputable UK outlet with a high chance of good aftercare service? Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Yes, and are now somewhat miffed about Bafang's recent announcement regarding the investment into the European market and the big battery plant! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Things generally turn up, it's more a case of whether you'll get good support if something were to be damaged or develop a fault and how timely that service might be. It's all a gamble to a degree.Perhaps check Google and other sources for a balance of reviews? Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Can't agree about the range there Ford. Mate uses one with 15Ah and comfortably gets over 40 miles between charges. It's the goons who use throttle only everywhere on full power that suffer range probs. with HD set up. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Reliability is pretty good across the whole range, save those that are overcooked via programming and baked by lugging great weights and/or generally abused (commonly these are stateside reports). BBS02 could well suit, but if you're planning to use on UK roads and not adhere to the 250W max...

I know of some complete sets including bling ring and everything required due early May, ...but are you sure you need 1000W of power,? It's a little OTT for road use and far from legal!

To convert or to buy new..

Try googling it, check reviews etc. See whether they know their stuff and will provide support or are simply flogging kits. Often helps if they've got a phone number and will speak to you, shows they are genuine rather than just a web face so to speak.

Fair doos, pretty dear for a shim at £9, eh.

    Greenway Cross City

could you take a round file to the shim, to shave off the miniscule amount shouldn't be too much difficulty?

Woosh MTB conversion rear gears question

Yes, and they are great bikes, don't get me wrong. But, the BBS01 350W kit at 18A is not strictly road legal as EAPC is it? Nor a hub with 350W rated power? The BBS01 36V 250W cuts it both on and off road. It's more the efficiency extended by the ability to keep the motor running in it's sweet...

Gearsensor for Bafang Mid Drives BBS-01, BBS02, BBS-HD

Absolutely. More required for the higher powered bikes more commonly in use in the states. Higher end gears are far slicker than the likes of a tourney level, but equally 7-8 speed is more forgiving to set up/tuning than the 10-11 speed, lightweight stuff. I tend to stick to 9/10 speed stuff of...
