Woosh MTB conversion rear gears question

Can totally understand that. You get what you pay for and a hub drive sounds like it'll suit your needs well. Try a mid-drive bike one day if you haven't already, especially a well configured BBSxx motor system. Enjoy your launch into the electric revolution :)

To convert or to buy new..

I'd say the conversion route is the go! Have a search online for reputable vendors of BBS01 250W kits. There are some helpful and knowledgeable guys about that will help. It will deliver all you ask and most likely more. ;)

Woosh MTB conversion rear gears question

Have you consisted mid drive options? BBS01 being the obvious choice. Less change to the bike, built in controller, better weight distribution and balance for off road, keep existing transmission, cassette, wheels etc., plenty of torque for the up hills and totally free running for the downs...

Gearsensor for Bafang Mid Drives BBS-01, BBS02, BBS-HD

I've had a few on different bikes. They used to do two different models for either hub or derailleur gears, now one size fits all. Personally I feel they cut the motor for too long. I spoke with the sales guy at gear sensor in Czech Republic and he advised the new model had shorter delay, but...

Lovely stuff. He does look rather happy about it, and rightly so. [emoji3] The sea in the background tells the story of the day's weather.

Arrgghh why doesn't anyone make good thumb throtttles

I'm using one of these at the mo. An improvement on the old bafang std thumb throttle. Again, you're welcome to look at mine next time you're passing. So long as you show me yours. Ooer! Well it is Brighton I guess [emoji51] As you can see, I dress to the left too ;)

I've got a left hand wuxing here if you want to pop round and give it a try?

Never mind Ascending, what about Descending ability

Agree. I rip it over the other times locally on the downs as well as ups. At sections where tight bends necessitate scrubbing speed right off, I'm straight back up to speed in no time. Short sections where only a few pedal strokes are possible, I full throttle straight out of the corner before...

*Chortle! Prime hipster territory, both those places, 'ey. It's entertaining people watching around there. Did some singlespeed owners appear to be competing with how narrow they could make their handlebars by any chance? Was the ipa £6.50s worth of tasty?

Who says I don't already ride side saddle in a skirt? :p The name immediately brings this track to mind.

Ah, I see. Several schoolboy errors you're unlikely to repeat there then! And upon hearing the crack/pop, you said " Oh bother"!

I'm also intrigued what settings you were using the controller popped. Any chance of screen grabs of tabs 1 and 2 from the software? I'm of the opinion that running the supplied battery at the dialed up settings won't do it much any favors in the longer term. The level of sag experienced is...

Does your bike have a name?

As of just now I'm going with 'Seabiscuit'. Every time I approach it I shall announce to it "I want to ride you like Seabiscuit".

I hear what you're saying, but I'm really not that opposed to an Alfine set up using a tensioner, singulator or whatevs. Particularly on a disc brake bike where you have to adjust the caliper position every time you pull the wheel back to ensure correct alignment of the pads to disc. I find it...
