No surprises there, on the plus side they are useful warranty wise being local, I suppose one day someone will get seriously hurt due to their incompetence and Halfords will get sued and then may pay better attention preparing bikes.....

No just some suntour forks from local bike shop. Regarding the chainring I fitted new crank arms from Wisper, as the ones that come with the bike have a riveted chainring which cant be changed, then I fitted a 42 tooth ring instead of the 52 and it makes quite a difference.
