Giant Fathom E+ creaking sound when peddling

Pedal axle bearings. Lift the bike so the rear wheel is off the ground, hold a pedal as if your foot was on in it and turn the crank applying the rear brakes a bit at a time to create some resistance - check both pedals this way. You made need to re-grease the ball bearings. Headset Bearings...

Wheel replacement - Giant road e bike plus 1

Looking at the Giant website it seems there could be a few differences between the E bike and a 'normal' road bike, particularly the spokes and hub.

    Loose headstock haibike

Firstly, slacken the bolts that clamp the handlebar stem to the fork tube. Next, lightly tighten the centre screw in the top cap/cover, make sure you don't over tighten the bearings. Re-align the handlebars and forks to straight ahead position, tighten/torque the stem bolts.

Sorry, another "What should I buy?" thread...

Having lived in and around Leeds since the '70's, make sure you get a big battery version to accommodate the hills round here - remember Leeds city is in a river (Aire) valley so on average, it's easy going in and a workout to leave.

    Oxygen mtb frame size

I'm 5' 9" with 32" inside leg. My Oxygen MTB has a Suntour NCX seatpost fitted, which prevents the seat being lowered by approx 110 mm and is set just above the top of the seatpost tube so I can get both feet (toes )on the floor when stopped. The seat is moved to furthest front position and I've...

Schwalbe Super Moto X. Seemingly impossible to remove

I overheard two guys talking a few months ago about this problem and one guy suggested using a ratchet strap between wheel rim and tyre to break the slime seal. Not tried it myself - never had the need to - that's jinxed it!

    Chain cleaning device whilst riding?

From my experiences, most of the mud etc comes from the front tyre actions and thrown onto chain and ring(s). Probably need something like the old fashioned steel chain/ring covers that enclosed the chain completely.

Do your gears get stickier in winter?

With the cable released from RD,the lever should make a positive clicks without any drag. Whilst cable is released from RD and chain on smallest cog (or split it) try to get some chain slack on the jockeys and check they rotate freely.

Do your gears get stickier in winter?

I've had this a few years ago. 1. Set RD to smallest cog. Release the cable from derailleur, check the lever itself is not sticking. 2. Make sure the RD cantilevers are free by pushing it toward the wheel, it should return under it's own spring.. 3. Check the jockey wheels are free. 4. Double...

Did I buy the right size bike?

As others have mentioned it's all down to personal fit. A longer/shorter stem - raising/lowering the saddle - moving the saddle forward/backwards on the rails - lifting/lowering the seatpost are all there to aid the rider to achieve the best/comfortable riding position. It may take a while to...
