As jeff suggests - a one piece lump of steel with a close fitting slot is the way to go. That original design is a disaster despite lasting over a year, to have less than 1mm of metal from the edge of a hole to the outside of a steel bar is ridiculous, plus you should use high-tensile bolts with...

For me, (58 Kg and very skinny) a Suntour NCX seatpost and well-padded shorts are a must when on my Oxygen MTB hardtail, especially when used off-road. Although I do miss a FS bike for all-round comfort.

And the answer is: 55 outer links + an inner link at both ends + a missing link (112 chain links in total + a missing link) I’ve used a KMC X9e chain and a KMC MissingLink

Can anyone please confirm the total number of chain links for the above mentioned bike, when fitted to the bike, including/excluding the link. Mine snapped the other day and I'm not sure if I managed to gather all the bits up. TIA

Interesting set-up. On the On-One website it quotes the 'Grip Length' as 215 mm - is this the distance from end of bars to first bar that clamps on the stem? How does the bike react when negotiating sharp bends on the road - do the bars catch your legs?

My Oxygen came with a throttle. Fit to handlebars, connect the Julet connector - job done!

As above re the controller overheating, try to maintain a slightly higher speed when hill-climbing in particular, to prevent this. Also double check ALL the cable connections are fully together.

Check if the RD hanger is bent.

And more... front wheel axle tight/loose, front brake pads rubbing on disc high spot.
