Bike which will take rear child seat?

Why not get a couple of trailers? They aren't that much more expensive than good child seats and more versatile (mine doubles up as a grocery trailer) and also much nicer to ride with than a high seat unbalancing the bike (and front child seats are awful imho). I got a Spokey Joe from Tesco...

    Power Limit increased to 1000w

No - good quality cells like the Panasonic NCR's can do 3c all day long - I'd imagine 48v batteries will be the target for any 1000w bike so take a 48v10ah battery built with Panasonic NCR cells and that gives 1500watt capability.

Bike which will take rear child seat?

Ah - didn't see that. Do both bikes need to be electric? I ask as you can carry two children on the El Mundo.

    Pedestrian Crossing madness

I wouldn't let the thought of an irate driver coming knocking on my door (which would be an almost zero chance of happening) put me off reporting that to the police. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

bafang 500 watt cst or bmc v3s

Motors don't have a rated volts (despite what BMS or anyone else says) - you can run a cst from 24v all the way to 100v+ as long as you keep the watts in check. You might get some eddy current losses with higher voltages and some controllers wont like the higher rpm but higher voltages wont...

    Tools for Bafang BBS01

Just a note - the BBS units now come with a different outer lockring that you need an external bb tool to tighten. Get a spanner type one (so it can clear the axle) and with "c" type opening (so it can clear the motor) - like this one.

config' lipos as 36 or 48?

15s lipo isn't 48v it's 55.5v (63v hot off the charger). You have my kit - and the way it's programmed it will do 40mph+ on 15s lipo. If you're using the simulator, the BMC V2 Speed motor is the same as a MAC 10t.

Mid Drive motor noise. Differences between makes.

My Bafang BBS02 is MUCH quieter than the Bosch units - it's as quiet if not quieter than my old Tongxin hub drive actually.

Uk Cycling Events Devils MTB 17th May 2014

I must admit that I don't like organised events like this - they always seem too competitive even though they aren't supposed to be and they seem firmly in the "sport" stable. Mountain biking for me isn't sport, just like my snowboarding isn't a sport either. It's not a competition and I've...

    Are offroad ebikes becoming acceptable?

I've been out off road quite a lot recently and not had a problem at all. Had a few good natured barbs but mostly people are just curious about it. Oh, and of course they want to know if it charges whilstyou pedal!
