    ebay 60kph mid drive kit

FYI - no Bafang BBS01/02 equipped bike can do 60kph underpower as they are hardware limited to 50kph.

    Newbie question about ebike derailleurs

Nonsense. I run my BBS02 on a 10 speed set up. Despite what intuition says, narrow 10 speed chains are no weaker than 7/8 speed chains (and most are stronger, as it's getting harder to find good quality 7/8 speed chains now the market has moved on) and wear is not greater with narrow chains.

    Crank drive or otherwise?

Exactly my experience with both sstems as well. If I was commuting or racking up the miles, hub drive every time. Offroad, crank drive wins. Hub drives are also better for inexperienced riders or those who don't have any mechanical sympathy.

    Bafang BBS 104bcd chainring adapter

I bought a 104 bcd adaptor designed to take the Raceface wide/narrow chainring (great ring btw - I have one my enduro bike) but I've decided not to use it. Details can be found here:- http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=50104&p=887647#p887647 Selling for £25 free postage to...

Why do I read so much about spokes breaking?

I've always built my own wheels and used 14 double butted spokes, including a MAC front motor running 2kw and I've never snapped a spoke. Unless the bike is involved in an accident (derailleur going into the rear wheel for example) then 99% of all spoke failures are due to the wheel builder...

    Electric Scorpion

I don't know what question you're asking? Are you saying you want to fit disc brakes to that bike? If that is the question then yes, but it would need a change of front fork and an adaptor for the rear (expensive). Then of course new wheels as well. You don't need disc brakes to electrify...

    Bafang BBS01 Power Cable Connector

Sorry, my fault for just scanning. My BBS02 didn't have that connection for the battery - just a couple of bullets. So I cut them off and fitted a pair of Anderson 45 connectors.

    Trek Bruiser Conversion

What happens when you fall off the bike with the battery in the back pack? Have you stress relieved the connectors and made sure they can disconnect easily in the event of a spill? Liking the controller in the bottle cage :-)

Cyclotricity Kit : In-Line Brake Sensors

Rock shox SID's? I think you'll struggle to find something of similiar quality that will work. Have a look at the Suntour Raidon forks - they have the drop outs on the inside so should be ok. Not near SID quality though - but better than most of the other junk on flat pack bikes.

    Amigafan2003 new build mk 2

Took it out for it's first off road trip yesterday - the "8" red route at Gisburn Forest in Lancashire. Nice route, nothing to serious and I even had a go on a few black runs :) Certainly more bum clenching moments than when I was 20 and doing this though! Used 4.8ah from the pack out of 12ah...

    Who likes Crank-drives?

FYI - I've just managed to program my Bafang BBS02 unit - this alone for me makes it one of the most appealing aftermarket crank drive units on the market. If anyone wants to know how to do it:- http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58780

First 18 mile test run with S12S, 48v battery, and MXUS cassette motor.

If you could confuse the controller (unlikely as a fully charged 36v battery is still lower in voltage than a discharged 48v battery) the BMS on your battery should protect it.

His batteries will probably be better as he actually tests and matches the cells he uses. He can do custom programming as well - for example 100% throttle in all PAS modes and setting the lvc.

    Who likes Crank-drives?

My BB02 is pretty quiet - much quieter than the Tongxin/Cute Q100/Mac geared motors if have experience of.
