    15mph speed limit

In that case it sounds like you're volt or watt limited or a combination of both. One option from here is to try a higher voltage battery. You can do a cheap test by getting a 6s lipo pack and wiring it in series to your existing battery and see if road speed improves. If it does, then you...

    15mph speed limit

Doesn't work on geared motors, only works on direct drive.

wanted: TongXin motor part - outer ring

Well done on getting the ring fitted :-) I like the fitting tool :-)

    15mph speed limit

Then it's got to have a speed sensor somwhere on one of the wheels. Find it, follow the wires back to the controller and unplug it and see if the bike still works under power. Also, have a nosey at garyten's post above.

    15mph speed limit

Does it show speed on the display? It's got to get the signal from somewhere (I'm assuming you don't have a direct drive hub).

    Chunky monkey needs a kit!

Nonsense. A poorly built wheel is a recipe for spoke problems ;-)

    2015 KTM.....

You have to be over 14 years old to ride an ebike though and most 14 year olds I know are big enough to ride a full size 26" wheeled bike.

2015 KTM Macina (Bosch drive) bike details inc RRPs

Hmm - might blow the first installment of my student loan on a Macina Lycan GPS+ :) Edit - then again I've just seen the Macina Freeze Plus - a fat bike with crank drive! That'd round out my collecton nicely :-)

    15mph speed limit

Does the bike still work with the speed sensor disconnected?

    Dropper post.

    seat height.

Probably not harmful to the frame anymore but surely that's dangerous if trying to mount the bike at the side of the road in traffic?

Orange skyway cycle lane in Copenhagen

If we had that over here we'd just get Strava nutters causing accidents on it. One good thing - pedestrians aren't allowed to use it :-) Whilst it is a good solution to a specific problem, I wouldn't like to see a proliferation of them - i.e. elevated skyways above existing roads - all that...

    15mph speed limit

It depends if the motor is speed limited by volts or via the controller or display. If it's limited by volts then you need a higher volatge battery. If it's via the controller it might be programmed (unlikely) or via a speed limit wire - is there a white wire with a connector in the middle...

    MXUS crank drive

I'd be interested if they've improved the chainline over the BBS units. Looking a the photos, I suspect not.

Cycle to work scheme friendly bike for light commuting

It saved me a bomb. Just looked through my docs - bought a Trek FX 7.6 bike in June 2012 - £900 rrp reduced to £800. My gross salary sacrifice amount was £66.67 a month, which amounted to a net monthly payment of £38.67. Over the 12 months I paid £464 in total. June 2013 I made an "extended...

Bafang BBS01 on a 2012 Cube Hyde Race?

You might be able to fit the BBS. Take the cranks off and remove the bottom bracket and measure the shell diameter (needs to be 33.6mm or greater) and ideally 68mm in width. You can fit a BBS to a 73mm wide BB shell but it will affect the chainline, which 'might" be an issue with a non...

    Throttle legislation in UK

Yes. If it's a strict EN5194 compliant bike it will be limited to 6km/h though.

Has Anyone Ridden at a Trail Centre?

I've done Gisburn on my ebike - great fun and did the entire "the 8" red run and rode some bits guys with "all the gear" were walking down! Did a couple of black runs as well - Hully Gully was especially fun but I didn't do the New Hope Line as I don't do jumps. I've been to Bike Park Wales...

Looking for riding buddies around Lancashire.

Anyone live near lancashire that would be interested hooking up for some off road riding around the great countryside we have? Thinking around the South Lakes area, Trough of Bowland, Gisbrun area etc?

Does anyone do off road night riding?

Yes, I love riding off road at night - gives a totally different perspective. Also a great time to ride footpaths, as you're unlikely to conflict with regular users - just steer clear of farmhouses or turn the lights right down. If it's a new track I've not ridden before, I make sure there's...
