Gear ratio on Vita Uno 26

Hubby tells me that he is using gear 21 out of 21 most of the time on his Vita Uno (Kudos Cobra branded by London Electrics). What is involved in re-gearing the bike please?

    Leaving the EU

John, We are arguably the fifth largest economy and the eighth largest manufacturing country in the world. Why on earth couldn't we expect to stand on our own two feet? America, China and other large economies trade freely with other smaller countries outside the various trading blocks and there...

    Leaving the EU

Yes I know that you are absolutely right about both Norway and Switzerland having to abide by EU trading law and that, in both cases, includes being part of the Schengen agreement. I can only hope for all our sakes that if we leave, we achieve a less tying deal than they have got. It is...

    Leaving the EU

I honestly don't think that current EU countries that now trade with us, suddenly won't. I think we will end up with a negotiated trade agreement such as Norway and Switzerland currently have. Several large companies have already started their intention to stay in the UK regardless of the...

    Leaving the EU

Whether it's our own fault for being an easy touch or not, we will not change and we will remain an insignificant cog, or a sulking brat as you call it. So the argument for getting out remains valid. The examples you use to illustrate to show that it's our government who are at fault are just...

1-1-2016 Today's Change in the Law.

We'll be able to decide for ourselves what to do - won't that be nice?!:D

    Leaving the EU

I believe this goes to the core of the problem. We are perfectly capable of making our own laws, indeed, far better able to know what's best for our own country than the rest of the EU are. We have democratically voted in our government who should then be able to determine our own laws and taxes...

    Can I bodge it ?

:eek: Blimey, glad I didn't come out with that statement - there may have been some comments!!!

    Cycling kit - bewildered!

I'm far from being a dedicated Winter biker, but I have had a kidney transplant and consequently suffer badly from the cold. I do find that my old motorbiking/ski balaclava under my cycling hat helps keep me warm. Something like this: I am still trying to sort out which gloves to wear. I have...

    CENTINEL WHEEL -kickstarter

Blimey, I wish I'd seen THEIR version of a modern electric bike before I bought my Juicy Lucy!!!:eek:

Sorry folks - another newbie looking for some guidance !

I find one of the bendy, plastic coated tensile steel locks the easiest to carry, the most flexible and the kindest to paintwork, but then I never park up anywhere dodgy so I am only looking for something that would stop the opportunist.

Sorry, but I had to share this...

It isn't cheating if what you want out of it is a lovely relaxing day out in the fresh air. And I don't understand how you can be cheating unless you are pretending it's something other than an assisted bike. The response I have got so far is along the lines of: (Admirer) "That's lovely, is...

Oh, very handsome then in that case! PS: Spoiling him a bit isn't it, letting him live in the lounge?:p

Sorry folks - another newbie looking for some guidance !

You sounded like you had a great time despite the weather. Glad you had chance to ride a few bikes and that you are happy with your choice. Now you need some decent weather so that you can get out on your new baby! Have fun with it, in fact, have a, eh erm, GROOVY time :D

Sorry folks - another newbie looking for some guidance !

I wouldn't assume that because of your height, you need the Juicy Giant. Whilst I am only 5 ft 3, my saddle on the Classic is right at the bottom of it's saddle stem and the stem has a good few inches on it. Also my feet only just touch the ground on both sides to the extent that I feel happier...

    Leaving the EU

But the rules now are that every new entrant would have to join the euro so it would be entirely dependent on whether Scotland will be deemed to be a new entrant or not. I just can't see Germany and France letting them keep sterling when the opportunity will be there for them to enforce the euro...

    Leaving the EU

I'm willing to bet that if the EU found a way of keeping Scotland in the EU, rather than it having to apply for membership in it's own right, they would HAVE to adopt the Euro. Not sure the Scots could be persuaded to join the Euro in it's current state

Sorry folks - another newbie looking for some guidance !

Good luck with the bike testing and do get back to the forum to let everyone know how the bikes compared. Most of us amateurs on here (that'll be me:rolleyes:) only know what their one bike feels like and it would be interesting to hear about the others. Hope you get to ride the Juicy Classic...

    Have I missed anything?

Great that you are liking the thread. The Woosh Bear is a beast compared to the Juicy Classic and with 28" wheels, far too big for me (I'm only 5ft 3", just a wee slip of a lass ;)). Andy H has just bought a Bear and loves it and he, or other Bear owners, may be around to comment on it. I know...
