    Tandem?

d8veh, thanks I think it will come to that. Catsnappers conversion looks brilliant. I'll show my better half the photos, sure she'd be over the moon with something similar. I have a decent 48v 15ah battery, just need rest of the kit.

John, what is the maximum wattage motor for legal use on a tandem? Do you sell them?

    Cube hybrid 2014

Seems Cube label all their ebikes as Hybrid. Hybrid normally, flat bars and skinny road tyres. I guess they are thinking along the car, hybrid lines due to the electrical element?

    Tandem?

Looks great but price too much. Just cannot justify this sort of money. Well, I can but she cannot. Lots of great feedback and suggestions. Cargo bikes are out as the idea is that we can all pedal. I like the idea of a small wheeled tandem. Folding would be a bonus as it would then fit...

    Tandem?

Kenny, thanks for the suggestion. We have looked at these. Burley still showing them on their website. On her dutch bike it would mean mounting to the current rear rack and not burley's. Battery being incorporated within the rack means we could not swap. It may come to this in the end but she...

    Tandem?

Thanks, would certainly do the job but she would just sit there. We are trying to encourage exercise, hence the tandem idea. I use a tagalong off road with her and she pedals well. Mums not so keen with this on the roads due to the low level the kid is placed at. We figured a tandem sorts...

    Tandem?

My partner is selling her CBF600 after xmas and planning to use the money on an e-tandem. The idea being to take our 5 year old daughter to and from school. She currently uses her dutch e-bike with a small seat. Daughter is getting a bit big now. I have been looking around for e-tandems...

    Stromer ST1Platinum.

27 mph pedal assist. You'll have to help it to get to 27mph. Having looked at some reviews, looks a terrific bike. By the sounds of it you are looking for 30 mph unassisted. You will get it on the right bike, just beware of the minimal amount of miles you can run at this speed before going flat.

    Stromer ST1Platinum.

I am not sure what is is worth but am curious as to why you have only done 25 miles on it. £4000 for 25 miles seems rather a lot. Is there something wrong with it?

    Charity begins at home

Well if the CEO was actually charitable himself, then he'd donate £100k of his salary to his own charity. He'd still have a decent amount to live on. He is supposed to be working for the good of the charity and not his own greedy pocket. Apologies to the CEO in question if you are a woman...

    Tyre Experts

I have fitted the Marathon Plus Tours to my partners dutch e-cycle. More blocky tread than the standard version. No punctures since fitted, 18 month. The heavier tread is most suited to loose surfaces and ideal in the winter. She often travels along a gravel pathway and has no issues. All in...

    Charity begins at home

£184,000, scandal. How can he possibly work enough hours to justify this. As I understood it, the Red Cross is a non profit charity. No wonder it's making no profit. He's robbing the charity box!!!

    The law is an Ass

Perhaps that is the answer, force every cyclist to tow a wide trailer when in traffic. That'll stop people squeezing down the inside of any truck and add to visibilty.

    The law is an Ass

Happens all the time around here particularly in the tourist season. On paper things would appear simple. In real life pedestrians switch off when they feel safe. I do it myself, wander along the seafront dreaming of life or whatever takes my fancy. I'm not suggesting that a shared path is a...

Article: Cycling community calls on Boris to act on safety

I think deaf people can and do cycle the road systems. I am sure they would give anything to have their hearing restored and probably cycle with great attention to other road users. On the other hand there is a small proportion of cyclists that don headphones and choose to ride deaf to the...
