    What bike was stolen?

If you are worried that your bike may be nicked and it sounds very suspicious, why don't you post your bike pictures on this forum. If it belongs to anyone here, you will no doubt hear from someone. The lost forum is aimed, mainly at members. Most would know what the bikes looked like or could...

    What bike was stolen?

There is an awful lot of people who don't bother to report their theft. As far as I can see, it is only the insured that report and only to get the required crime number. Cyclists are low on the agenda in more ways than one. That's the most disturbing fact to me.

    What bike was stolen?

Some have bothered with pictures. Like the police said, in their very own words " not a high priority, yours is only one of 500'000 stolen this year" 500'000 reported thefts in a year and still not a high priority. Photo or not, I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference to getting ones...

Has anyone bought a new bike this year?

I purchased a Haibike RC29 early this year. Hard tail mountain bike with half decent spec. Bosch centre drive suits my requirements as I like put in a good amount of effort. Of course, I have the option of Turbo if I wish to reduce my effort. Mountain bike takes me to work in the week, off...

    Burnt out battery connector replacement?

Hi all. The battery connector on my partners dutch bike has overheated and melted one of its contacts. Whilst I could probably make another, does anyone know where I could get one off the shelf? I am not sure if these are a standard connector or individual to each manufacturer. Any...

Wiggle Ups and Downs April 26th 2014

Eddie I did a good part of the Purbeck Hills whilst camping down that way last year. Did it on a regular bike, excellent spot. Nice big climb at the start. I was actually thinking of looking at going on this ride, not decided yet but may be a good way to get the blood flowing before winter...

    Bike Locks....

KellyBear I don't think you need to worry too much. Most thiefs want a bike with good spec that they can knock out without any unwanted attention. By definition, yours attracts attention and stands out in a crowd (rightly so). They are likely to pick something much less conspicuous.

Haibike Xduro Trekking SL 2013 Review

Eddie, one of the things that attracted me to the bosch system was the need to work harder than some hub drives. In particular, fairly high speed spinning on steep hills. Each system has its merits depending on user requirements. Both are great but i'll stick with the Bosch all the while I can.

    European regulations, one more time

Flecc, there are a lot of people who own a sofa, doesn't mean to say that you need to use it all the time. Some people might think so but the less lazy will get off it and actually move around. Same with a car, loads of people use one to nip to the corner shop. Why? I agree, a car has its many...
