    Brexit, for once some facts.

It had nothing at all to do with her skin colour, she was pulled up and interrupted because she is stupid. A white person of equal or greater stupidity would have been treated exactly the same.

How would parliament stop it? Presumably a cross party proposal to cancel A50 before the deadline and then vote it through with a majority? I’m sure they would get the majority needed to do that.

Just clear a point for me please. I understand that we are due to leave the EU on 29/03/2019. Is that the default position if the present stalemate is not resolved? Will the clock tick down and that will be it, out, no deal, WTO trading terms? Can parliament stop that happening?

Maybe that is because it is sub judice and an ongoing investigation. That would mean that for legal reasons it would be ill advised to express an opinion. Not everyone is out to get you.

I think the reference to dirty campaign was more to do with misinformation rather than electoral fraud, which is being investigated. You need to stop dwelling on the past and going around in circles. Eventually you will disappear up your own backside. You can’t change what happened, but you...

Maybe leave did lie more than remain. The fact is both sides are guilty and that is unacceptable. What has happened has happened, and we can’t change that. What we can do is draw on our experiences and look to the future. We have had a taste of Brexit and how capable we are of dealing with the...

I didn’t say that I prefer Give, I just said that he will be a more likely candidate for leader than Boris.

Please don’t make out that it was just one side that was coming out with BS. Both leave and remain told lies and gave out misinformation. What we need this time is honesty, and the crap you are posting does nothing to make that happen. The BBC are at it. They are carrying an article blaming...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Johnson has been exposed for the lying, cheating and deceitful character that he is. The jolly buffoon cover has well and truly been blown. The blonde woman who has allowed him inside her in return for an enhancement to her career prospects has done him no favours either. Huffing, puffing &...

I’m convinced that Corbyn wants out of the EU and even a no deal would suit him. His top priorities are to cause a stalemate, chaos and unrest. Admittedly, TM is doing a very good job of that herself, but I think Corbyn wants the situation to continue in the hope of a general election being...

I agree. I did have some respect for Corbyn, particular when he didn’t buckle to the tabloid newspaper bullying tactics. But, I think he is showing his true character regarding the current Brexit farce. I’m not liking what I’m seeing.

I had never listened to Gove speak prior to watching that link, so thanks for posting. You can't deny that he is an excellent communicator and he tore Corbyn to apart. When the camera panned across the Labour benches, I thought, "What the hell has happened to Labour? The party membership has...

As a Leave voter in the last referendum, I don’t think that Leave would be voted for again if it included existing on WTO terms. People were led to believe that post Brexit, the The EU would be desperate to strike a deal with the UK, mostly on our terms. That clearly hasn’t happened, so people...

I’m not sure what Jonathan Agnew disagrees with in the above post. What is to fear from a second vote, now that the lies and personal ambitions have been exposed? A simple In or Out vote.

But leave can mean WTO and some voters want to leave but not on WTO. Even if there is a vote on the “final deal” that leaves the possibility that the government will not try hard to secure a good deal, thus offering a poor deal so as to coerce voters into remaining. There are so many...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think it would be wrong to leave on WTO with only just over one third of voters wanting that situation. That’s why I think the Part B to the Leave option is flawed. It would be fairer to have a simple Leave or Stay option, but make it clear that Leave may mean a WTO deal and all that comes...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I believe that I understand. The problem as I see it is this. Say we hold a second referendum along the lines that you suggest and leave wins again by say 60% to 40%. We then look at part B, the options for leaving. What if the split was similar to the main vote 60% wanting to leave with no deal...

I think you may have misinterpreted my last post, but I can’t be arsed to explain how.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I agree, splitting the leave vote to get an idea of how the leavers want to leave is fraught with difficulty, perhaps too much difficulty. Even the binary choice is dangerous. People are so frustrated, angered and disillusioned by the performance of our politicians that they could vote no deal...

I’m just watching two women fighting on BBC’s Politics Live. It’s like watching cats scrapping over the content of a dustbin. Why are we in this position now? What the hell has been going off since June 2016?
