    Brexit, for once some facts.

Me too, when and if Brexit gets resolved one way or another, politics is going to be back to being fairly boring and I will probably lose interest.

Help! Bianchi Impulso Road or Orbea Gain?

Have you considered the e-version of the Synapse? I bought one a couple of months ago and absolutely love it. See this thread. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/cannondale-synapse-neo.34045/

How to squeeze the most of the battery?

Are you riding alone or with friends? If your with friends then each of you take a turn at the front and the others draft, its surprising how much energy is saved by drafting. If your on your own then you still might be able to draft other cyclists, not all riders like you doing this though.

What e road bike should I buy?

If the hills are fairly steep and your knees are fairly bad then you might want to consider a Cannondale Synapse Neo. Take a look at this thread I started some time ago. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/cannondale-synapse-neo.34045/

Wouldn't that be yet one more reason to remain then?

Lightweight urban e-bikes such as Ampler Curt, Orbea Gain F40 etc.

I weighed my Cannondale Synapse Neo the other day and it came out to 18.46 kg. Although its a fair bit heavier than the Orbea Gain, its fair bit lighter than my e-mtb which weighs 25 kg. I think the motors on the Neos are a bit more powerful than on the Gain or Ribble, so if you struggle on...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I shall do exactly the same and I suspect there are millions of other people that think the same way.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think Farage and David Cameron should be taken to every town and village in the Country, placed in stocks so that we can all throw mud pies at them. All their assets should then be seized and given to homeless people. These two men have cost the country tens of billions of pounds and for what?

    29x2.2 low rolling resistance tyres

The link is working now, and does explain why there is an upper limit to the width of tyres used in road races. The trend does seem to be on an upward trajectory and is likely to continue for a while from what I have read in this and other articles.

Erik Buell’s new Fuell Fluid electric bicycle with 200 km range

I think Erik Buell is one of those engineering mavericks possibly even genius, that often do not have what is needed to run a successful and profitable business. I seem to remember reading in Motor Cycle News that his motorcycle production business went bankrupt even though his motorcycle...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I get the impression that JC is only happy to do what members of the Labour Party want when that ties in with what he, his advisor Seumas Milne and his backer Len McCluskey want. A massive majority of Labour Party members want a second referendum. Most Union leaders want one, its about time...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

If Labour don't come out on Tuesday (NEC meeting) with a definite policy for a second referendum then I will probably vote for the Lib Dems in the EU elections.

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

I think this is what they told me in the shop when I bought the Neo, but I will have a good look at both batteries either today or more likely tomorrow.

    firmare update

I used to think this was the case too. It took me several months before my general fitness and leg strength was sufficient to press hard enough on the pedals in EMTB mode to not see a difference when switching to Turbo. Its surprising just how hard one has to press in EMTB mode to get the full...

Cube agree c62 hybrid e bike

I tried out the mid priced one with the Ultegra group set. This was a few months ago, I think it was around the £4000 mark. I liked it a lot, but the motor was not powerful enough for me up the many steep hills I have in my area. Although the motor is supposed to be rated at I think 65 Nm or...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Does a Journalist have to reveal by law their source? Someone was on the Politics Live show earlier today and they said the Telegraph who broke the story would not be saying who gave them the details. I have no idea if they have to give this info or not, if they don't then I doubt if we will...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

I haven't checked it Joe, but I will in the next day or two and post my findings on this thread.

    Orbea Gain auxiliary battery

Perhaps I should give a bit more detail about this, as I would not want someone thinking everyone is going to get that kind of range from an ALP powered bike. The battery indicator dropped from 4 bars down to 3 bars within a couple of miles from home, it does not provide exact percentage read...

    Orbea Gain auxiliary battery

As mentioned in my post I don't think the price has been quoted by anyone official yet. The £510 came from someone on another forum. It could be just a rumour, and perhaps the price might turn out to be a lot lower we shall see.

    Orbea Gain auxiliary battery

I would imagine so, I assume its like most things if you buy in bulk you will get a big discount. Orbea will presumably be buying hundreds or even thousands at a time and so will pay a lot less than what Joe public will have to pay.
