Are these any good to you?

I wonder if you could do the same type shape with an old piece of inner tube. A rubber flap would flex up in the wind, still block mud and throw water behind the bike, yet it shouldn't wiggle or air scoop too much. Keep us posted on mark 2. :)
I'm sure that plenty do clean their expensive bikes after each use. I'm using mine daily to walk the dog. It's a 10 minute bike ride through the September bog. To clean it would become a chore. Although, it did look quite nice when it was clean.
Anyway the mud protects it, from more mud. :)
He's too intelligent for jail.
To be fair to SW, It seems to me that he's more interested in the tech side of ebiking electronics than seemingly going full tilt for a short video. Most of his rides skulk around canal paths, at night, or in woodland. His bike, however, is well...
I always enjoy the ride, I'm sure we all do, and I don't really care what comments people make. Sticks and stones and all that. :)
Most of the comments are purely down to ignorance. I find that educating and enlightening folks is all part of the fun of owning and riding an ebike. :)
Bang for buck, it's not a bad light. In that rainy, well street-lit video it's hard to judge it's effectiveness. Here's a mix of well lit urban, dark lanes, woods and fields that show it's output a bit better.
Mostly just fun, second hand bikes that I use for going out with my dog. Light trail use also. Anyway, enjoy the forum. There's plenty of good info here.

Just over a year ago, I walked home pushing my heavy bike in the pouring rain. I was knackered and eventually used my beast of burden to tow the bike for the last 2 miles. No-one told me that I had a walk mode! o_O
Your Honour, I shouldn't go to jail, for being found guilty of wounding with intent, because I'm a drug and alcohol abuser who has plans to become a heart surgeon. Besides, I'm too intelligent for jail!
Innit.
Probably best to coat it with something, as suggested above, and leave it until spring. Mine's coated in mud and will stay that way. I've never cleaned them myself. My good lady cleaned it for the first few days, she's that way inclined. I just kept going out and dirtying it again. She soon gave...
:D When putting out a fire you have to remove either the oxygen, the fuel or the heat. Throwing petrol on it might be fun, but not the best solution. ;)
Perhaps saying "Do you realise that they're quite a safe form of cycling?" Something like that might give them food for thought. Maybe they'll...
Don't be bone. Dip your own beam by pushing it downwards a bit. :)
In this video I'm using that inexpensive 'new best headlight' that we discussed last year. Which, after waterproofing the battery, is still going strong. The outer halo ring is set on strobe and the central light is on the...
I suppose that it all depends how far abroad you go shopping, and your budget. If you already have a good, suitable bike, that you want to convert, it shouldn't be too bad on your pocket and there are benefits with certain kits.
