    Just added mud guards...

How about if we forget the word mud, and we call them splash guards instead, so we don't get splashed by surface water? Do we all feel better now? :D

    Insurance for e-bikes

Ive just switched my house insurance to Bradford & Bingley to cover my ebike. Initially they said they don't cover bikes with motors, but when I explained details of the motor and it being pedal assist she went away to discuss it with someone and came back saying they would provide cover.

The Mudhugger does look good. My only hesitation is that it doesn't cover as much of the rear wheel as some others do. Anyone know if mudguards for 700c wheels would fit my 29" wheels? I think 700c are 28"?

    Aldi bike lights

I do that with everything I do. I spend ages researching before purchasing anything expensive, to the point where I might even go off the idea completely. Nothing worse than buyers remorse :)

    Aldi bike lights

My local Aldi still have lots of bike stuff on the shelves from a recent promotion, so I picked up a front/rear light set for £13, and an additional rear light which is brighter for the same price. They are USB chargeable and seem quite good for the money..

    Camera's

Personally I wouldn't get stressed and hung up over trying to prosecute every **** car driver you come across. Just accept they are out there on the road and you will come across them from time to time, and enjoy your ride.

Acid has the Active Pro motor, which has less torque. Pro has the CX motor, which is proven. Race appears the same as the Pro, but with slightly better gears & forks?

Less torque when setting off on a steep hill, supposedly quieter motor, and larger front sprocket. May as well stick with the Pro I think.

    Finally taken the eBike plunge..

I went to the Cycle Show at NEC purposely to look at the Acid, but even Cube didn't have one to display, claiming they were all going out to customers.

Im sure yo will be fine. Its tough choosing between all the different Cube Reaction bikes, they seem to all share the same frame but with different gears & forks etc. I haven't ridden mine properly yet, but I plan to go for a blast on it tomorrow, Ive changed the Purion display from kmh to mph...

Any reason you didn't go for the 500 battery?

Any chain/lock will be defeated with a cordless angle grinder. Not much we can do about that, sadly.

That kind of makes their claim quite a nonsense... '...a more hardened surface than round links making sawing and cutting virtually impossible'

Turbo levo or Cube Reaction 500

I didn’t realise. Where are the connections please, are they in the motor itself? And do you have the part numbers as I’d like to order some. Thanks.

Nice. I was wanting one of those but couldn't wait for them to become available. There doesn't seem to be stocks anywhere, I went with a Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 500 as I wanted my ebike now!:)
