    Purchased a 2018 Cube Reaction Race 500

I will certainly be letting you know how I go on when I get it Before buying it I nipped into Evans Cycles as they had a 2017 Cube Reaction Hybrid HPA Pro 500. They let me have a go on it outside and it was really nice. It was the 21" and fit me quite well but I couldn't help but think a 23"...

    Purchased a 2018 Cube Reaction Race 500

Just ordered a 2018 Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 500 from my local bike shop this morning . Went with the 23" frame but no stocks of that size in the red, so ordered the black. Got a bit of a discount for attending their recent Cycle Fest event. It should be with me next week Thanks for...

Theres a video on here somewhere of someone doing just that.

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

No, see the rest of the post I made :). If I had £12.5k to spend on a 2 wheel bike, i'd be replacing my 2009 BMW R1200GSA with a much newer one :)

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Ive ordered the bike in soundwaves link, due to the incredible £2.5k saving. And with the money Ive saved, I can buy another ebike. But which one? (Haven't ordered yet, off to the bike shop tomorrow to try their 21" Cube Race 2017 to see if that fits or if I need the 23")

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Ha ha, it does seem like its taken forever, but I only started looking into getting an electric bike on 10th Sept, which is when I joined here. So 20 days of research isn't bad. I normally take much longer :D. I actually enjoy the research part of buying a new toy. Nothing worse than buyers...

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Thanks, but sadly not available until Feb 2018 in my size (21" - 23" frame). By the way, are MHWBike a reputable supplier as i haven't heard of them, but I will keep my eye on their stocks.

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

So, the 2018 Cube Race it is then :) Sadly my preferred bike shop won't be getting the red model until week 6 in 2018 :(. The black is available at some shops, but I prefer the red! Anyone know of anywhere with stocks of the red? Why is life so teasing?

    Speed sensor on crank arm.

I was chatting to a rep from Focus bikes who claimed they could detect if a dongle or cheat method had been used, to invalidate the motors warranty. One of the things he said they could check is how hot the battery has been running etc. A battery that had been at a high temperature would...

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Well non of you are doing a very good job of saving me money!:) I suppose looking at it like that, the Race does make sense. I wasn't aware that the bike would be lighter, another plus. I assume the RockShox can lock out? I dont like them compressing during road riding.

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Thanks, Im thinking the Suntour forks should be adequate for my riding.

    Suntour v RockShox forks?

Just wondering what the realistic difference is between the forks on these two bikes? Cube Reaction Race 2018 with RockShox Judy Silver TK Air forks Cube Reaction Pro 2018 with Suntour XCM34 forks The two bikes are otherwise very similar apart from different Shimano gears, but theres a £200...

    2018 Bosch Drive Units Differences?

Having spoken to various bike shops, and to reps from both Cube and Haibike it would seem that the CX motor is perhaps the best one for my needs. I will have long steep hills to cycle up during my commute, and when pulling away from stand still at junctions, the CX motor should help me best. I...

Just been shopping! Cube Reaction Race 500

I reckon I've narrowed down my choice of bike to either a Cube Race 500 or a Cube Acid 500. The Acid has the Active Plus motor which is supposed to be more suitable for road riding. The Race has the CX motor which is supposed to give better assist on steep off roading. The Race is about £400...

    Winter's coming

I use ACF50 on my motorbike, applying it almost everywhere thats metal just before winter. I don't wash it until the following spring. It gets caked with mud and dirt, but a good clean the following spring reveals a nice clean shiny surface underneath.
