going over the 15.5 cut off point

It seems that some of you luddites :D are only using the minimum or some form of eco assistance level. o_O I'm on max power assistance a lot of the time and the hills sort out the speed for me. :)

going over the 15.5 cut off point

Nah, it doesn't bother me at all. :) I rarely go on the road with my ebikes. I'm just airing a cycling suggestion for the OP's dilemma. I'm fit enough. However, with ebikes you don't need to be fit. It's quite the opposite in fact. Get rid of your slow ebike and get a regular push bike if...

going over the 15.5 cut off point

The 15.5 cutoff is an anchor. You can cut that anchor's chain with a dongle and throw it overboard. :D It's perfectly illegal unless off road of course. Roadies flying past you at 30.. and even 40 mph is legal though.

    Death by dangerous cycling...

I wonder how many deaths involved walking whilst using a mobile phone. This is my dashcam footage, whilst travelling to work, 27/12/17. The woman was on her phone whilst walking in the road! Fortunately, I didn't have a 'Merry Christmas'. :)

    Who's bought a Gtech ebike?

Welcome aboard boyo. You probably got the 'flat rate' on that deal. :D For a few quid more there's some great hill climbers on here. I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice now that you've joined up. Enjoy. :)

    Oxydrive kits

An average speed of 21 mph sounds pretty good to me. The max speed on mine was initially 22 mph. Now, it's more like 19 mph. I assume it's the battery getting old.. :)

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

For those of us under 14, and there's not many on this forum, off road is OK for a taster. My extra large, 8 year old nephew Archie loves them. :p If he can ride a bike legally, then why can't he ride an ebike legally?

    HaHa it actually happened......Cheat !!!!!!

It's all moot and all biking. Motorised or otherwise. Ebiking allows the best of both worlds and cycle laws apply. ;)

    Winter...

The new best headlight's just on a rubber band that pulls back and forth as required. Although, I've never had any issues with it's illumination. Or oncoming traffic for that matter.

    Winter...

If you're blinding oncoming traffic they'll let you know soon enough by flashing their headlights at you. It's easy enough to push the light forward for a more dipped option.

There's a great headlight discussion and recommendation here. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/the-new-best-headlight.25228/ Here it is in action. Reflective clothing helps you to be seen.

Days numbered for over 250w pedelecs??

As you know, I often go riding with my exceptional doggy. :) At this time of year the shared paths are often overly hazardous. What with pedestrians, their offspring and unruly canines presenting more hazards to our relatively silent two wheeled approach. Although an mp3 player on the...

Under those circumstances, are you even able to think? :)

Days numbered for over 250w pedelecs??

There aren't sufficient resources to be proactive, just reactive. Try not to crash badly.

Days numbered for over 250w pedelecs??

Anne, 43, a mother of three who often holidays on the island, said: “Cycle paths here are really congested. Some stop to take photos and there are kids who wobble and zigzag because they’re learning to ride, so you need to be alert all the time. And now we’ve got to contend with hot rod...

I'd say that a few cut outs was an issue.

I thought that I could smell something burning!

I immediately asked if anyone was in there and was told that the house was empty of people. Although, the occupant's dog was missing.
