    Electric walking bike

Ah, a mobile treadmill. Do you think that it has a walk mode?

Very heavy rider (25st+) - Is it worth even trying?

Just ride the bike. Try to enjoy yourself and let the electrical assistance help you with that. If you're enjoying it then you'll get out more and start to feel the benefits after a little while. You'll then likely find that you're feeling fitter, toning up underused muscles, and perhaps even...

does the Bosch system have walk assist?

When you really must walk, for whatever reasons (mud, steep gradients, broken chain, puncture, chatting to a person on foot..), then walk mode can be a very useful function. Much better than having 'no walk' mode. Which for some Americans is the case, as that function is inactive on their Bosch...

I want music on my bike.

For £329 they should be! :D

I want music on my bike.

I use one of these MP3 players. All the music is on a memory card and it's plenty loud enough. I face the speaker towards the road ahead. But it'd be louder faced towards the rider. In this video it's picked up by the camera mic and is around 70% volume. It'll play for around 2.5 - 3 hours...

Pro rider switch - anyone heard of this?

I made a short video of how one of mine is adjusted. Not sure if yours will be the same, but it's worth a try. With the sunlight on the screen I thought it read as KMH, not MPH. But the speed's are around 17 mph followed by 23 mph. Pay particular attention to the button presses. Switch on, then...

Pro rider switch - anyone heard of this?

Hi, are you assuming that it will de-restrict? Or do you know this model will but you just don't know how? Try pressing the buttons together on your lcd screen and, at your own risk, see what it does. Good luck. :)

    Snap!

We've witnessed attitudes, towards ebiking in general, change hugely over the past few years. Even die hard cyclists are moving over to the state of the art newer type of e-MTB and e-Racing pedelecs. Although, there are still a few haters out there, it's mostly just banter now. :) I've also...

Will type approved speed pedelecs wake the police up

Yes, this. If you buy a speed pedelec you kiss all those freedoms goodbye. Buy a vanilla pedelec with a street legal setting that can occasionally tweak up a few more mph, without needing to lose any freedoms. No need to wear a helmet, register, fit a number plate, do a test, buy...

Will type approved speed pedelecs wake the police up

There are many good reasons for being paranoid. Try not to make 20 mph on an electric bicycle one of them. It really isn't considered as being at all 'too fast' for safe riding. I've seen and clocked road cyclists on non electric racing bikes doing over 45 mph, through built up areas, setting...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I know of them, but have never used them myself.

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I changed mine in situ, without removing the wheel. You just have to loosen the wheel-nuts, slip the old one out, and the new one in. The tyre doesn't need to come out of the tail forks. It's easy enough with a bit of fiddling.

    Stolen bike

The best security is the dynamic type. Garden lights, alarms, dogs. They hood up for CCTV. No face, no case. No face.. No face! :D
