    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Also, if you hold down the battery power button for 10 sec the number of bars will show capacity health all 5 bars lit is what you want, more info in hesc manual

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

The spoke issue is down to the angle that they leave the rim. I'm considering at the moment in having the wheel rebuilt as I have already replaced about 4 spokes in 9mths. My previous crossfire-e was the same. The rebuild will use stronger spokes but more importantly the rim will be heavy duty...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Like me, it'll cost you about £660 on the cycle scheme as it cost me with the deal I had. All very well saying swap it for the crossfuse but that's nearly £1k more for us, or £600 more for the op (assuming he paid what it's on offer at the moment at £1000). I've no doubt the crossfuse is...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

For info it will only ever display 99%,there's no 3rd digit. The battery is still taking a charge while the charger light is red, once green its fully charged

    Yosepower hub kits.

Spoke to Alice at Yosepower, 350w rear motor kits with battery back in stock next week. I'm looking for another 36v 13ah Hailong battery from them (as in the kit), have been told no stock coming for 2 months :(. Also looking for a 700c/350w/with battery kit for converting my bro's bike)...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

What top speed are you getting on the flat? Be interested in how the suntour (bafang apparently) is wound as I know its very torquey and great on the hills, but wondered on top speed now it's been unrestricted

    Second bike?

Crossfire-e is my daily commuter for the past 2 years, 12 mile round trip, ride it on top assistance level, uses about 50% battery a day (one big hill on route). I get the odd cut out (reset/re-seat battery), and I have had some spokes snap on the rear wheel, apart from that, no issues...

I ended up even with a wider bottom bracket, but I removed the back of the sensor (small single screw), then pushed on the wheel with the metal round dots onto the bottom bracket, then fitted the other half ( with the cab;e) and ran a bit of gaffer tape around the whole thing. Not pretty but...

Yep, my brother now wants one for his missus bike, all out of stock. They come in and out of stock a lot, shame they don't just ship in loads from China in one go, they'll sell them no problem. Now I'm sorted on mine, will be looking to get a spare battery for when I take the bike to the...

    Crossfuse-E Vs Crossfire-E

I take it you have paid the current 1k price for the Crossfire? If so big jump of 600 quid to the crossfuse. You'll see many a post on here of me praising the Crossfire. I will say there are some issues with snapped spokes on the rear wheel, I've had a few go in the last 2 years, simple fix, but...

Off road run last night, great ride, the motor feels at least as torquey as the suntour on the crossfire-e, but the real buzz is 23mph on the flat with 80-100w at the motor. Total ride was 18 miles on pas level 5 at all times , display showing half left of the yosepower kit 36v 13ah battery, so...

Quick pic of my conversion, a little cable tidying and covering up, but the built in controller in the battery case saves having a separate bag. I took apart the pas sensor and left off the back so it would fit, gaffer tape hold it, will replace with slimmer one that I think a fellow forum...

My conversion is built, 1st ride out Sat am, very pleased with the results. Pics to follow. Havent tweaked any LCD3 settings, just default. The bike handles well off road, lighter than the Crossfire-e I have, and as a smaller frame easier to handle. Plus of course it's quicker :)

Nealh, are you referring to this yosepower 350w 36v motor? Can you run this motor at 48v ?

I ordered it off the yosepower ebay store, but looks like they have sold out now. The same kit I got is on their store ( https://www.yosepower.com/en/product/Hub-Motor-36V350W-Black-Hub-Motor-with-Cassettle-for-Rear-Wheel-26%22-%26-HL1-36V13Ah-Battery-Conversion-Kit-DIY-E-bike-110.html )...

Any tips on covering up the unused connectors, i.e. the brake kill connectors and the throttle connector to stop water getting in ? Also, no need for the frame bag for the controller as built into the battery holder, any tips on bunching up the extra cable length and strapping to the frame neatly ?

Installed the PAS sensor last night onto the new 122mm bottom bracket, still rubs the left hand crank arm, very tight, but will stick with it for now. I panicked and thought yosepower had forgot to send the controller, but ralised and confirmed by Alice at yosepower, the controller is built into...

Thanks for that, very useful. Hoping to start my build tonight/tomorrow, just waiting to pick up the longer 122mm BB from Halfords later. After reading Lyme's experience, I'm thinking I might need one of those slimline PAS sensors, and go back to narrower BB width if the chainline goes out...

Thanks Lyme, that's interesting that only an extra 4.5mm on the rhs was enough to knock the driveline out so it was a problem for you. I might have to rethink this as it'll be an extra 6mm for me if I go from a 110mm to a 122mm. Maybe it's worth me trying going to a 118mm first What a pain in...
