    Battery Fires

What theory? I wish Woosh and you all the best. I am really happy to hear there were no reported cases of fire in Woosh warehouse, but it proves nothing. I hope mentioned warehouse wasn't flooded either. Please don't tell me it is a proof that floods don't exist.

    Battery Fires

We all know some basics. Don't: drop, kick, shot at, hammer nails into, put in fire, charge with wrong charger etc etc It is when batteries are stored and when charged they are most deadly. I never experienced battery fire or house fire, but they do happen and none of us wants that. Some easy...

    Battery Fires

We all would appreciate more facts and some logical conclusions, but truth to be told what we really need are safe methods of storing batteries while they are not in use, as this is when batteries are most dangerous. On that we can work right now without all facts on why batteries explode. In...

    Why Ride Rad?

    48V x 35A = 1700W. 40kg shouldn't be a problem while there is a juice in battery. It is not a bike, it is a batpod.

    Battery Fires

May I ask what battery do you have? I am looking for a battery for a while now and can't decide which to buy.

    C1? 150km on 7.5Ah battery sounds a bit optimistic.

    Why Ride Rad?

I hope Peran won't find out range the hard way. It must be terrible to pedal this thing without assistance. Peran - just to clarify, did you buy display only or display and controller?

    Why Ride Rad?

OK.. that would make a massive difference. If your range is 25 miles as you said, then you need to buy AA golden insurance policy called " I am a celebrity, get me out of here". If your range is in fact 50 miles, then I like your bike much more.

You said in your review that range is 25 miles...

    Why Ride Rad?

Nice... ...but then what? 30+kg fat wheel single speed bike? How far would it go?

    Why Ride Rad?

Changing controller is a legal way to increase torque. More Amps means more Power. ...but we would be having different conversation as changing controller would raise some red flags. 35A is a lot... at least for cheap generic battery. Rad does not provide much information on battery they use...

    Why Ride Rad?

Interestingly increase in torque can be achieved legally. It is unfortunate Eggrider seems to be focused mainly on other things like increase of speed and unlocking throttle which makes it illegal. I am not sure how high costs of maintenance might be. I never spent a penny on that. By...

    Why Ride Rad?

That is very good. Your bike might have been legal. ...up to the point when you derestricted it. Legally it matters if motor cuts off at that point or not. Check small print. All policies I have checked were very clear that bike must be legal. You might be paying for insurance which probably...

    Swytch Go

I just have legitimate doubts about your idea of unrestricting bike and then taking it on a plane to USA. Or you planning to take kit only and to convert bike there?
  15. Az.

    Why Ride Rad?

Nope. Your insurance is invalid and you are very far from being legally safe.

    Swytch Go

I am not quite sure what your expectations are. You can't make 500W motor out of Swytch kit. You bought Citroen Ami... can't make 4x4 pickup truck out of it. Why did you order Swytch in first place?

    Swytch Go

Are you taking your bike on a plane with you?

    Why Ride Rad?

I am sure you are right. But it is more profitable to sell display for £120 :)

    Why Ride Rad?

    It also derestricts throttle.

    Why Ride Rad?

It seems like legality of the whole thing completely eluded you despite all the effort you put into research. EggRider is a derestricting device and as such is illegal. You should not really promote it here as it is against forum rules. BTW £120 for LCD display is a robbery in bright daylight...
