LCD3 Speedometer unstable at higher speed with external sensor.

I've seen this on three LCD installs, Normally I ignore it, but I'd like to fix it. At slow speeds. up to about 12-14 mph, the speedometer is steady. ABove 16 mph, it starts flashing between 15 and 30 mph, and is unreadable under acceleration. When back in coasting mode, the speedometer settles...

    Copying KT LCD3 parameters

Broke my LCD3, but I have a spare. Will the parameter copy transfer the odometer readings to the new display? Hate to lose that number.

Review Tong Sheng TSDZ2 Owner Survey

I am used to PAS 1 on my ebikes taking the edge of pedaling. There should be a clear difference between pedaling with and without power. I just didn't feel that with the TSDZ2 in ECO. It was very subtle. The embrusa version of OSF is able to do the above. I could have just ridden in Sport and...

Review Tong Sheng TSDZ2 Owner Survey

I installed mine in an old 10 speed Raleigh last Fall. I wasn't pedalling hard enough to really get any assist out of it unless I went to turbo, and even then I topped out at 18 mph. Put in OSF firmware with embrusa configurator. Running his default motor settings. Bike perked up quite a bit. I...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

@ alexfnoble. Just noticed on April 2 that the toseven has been removed from the PSWpower website. Also no midmotors on the toseven site. Any insight?

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

Coming from a different viewpoint, I don't feel like fine tuning anything, I want it to work out of the box. I'd welcome a solid motor, one with bearings that don't fail, axles that don't wiggle, a motor that can shed heat and run at 500 watts, with a throttle that I can feel working, and...

Bikee Bike - new mid drive conversion quietly launched

Unless my memory has gone, they've been around for at least 5 years, asking for crowd funding, etc. I hope they all had day jobs while they were working on this project. Runs off my phone? Sorry,

    Repurposing li- ion (18650S - 2500mAh) batteries?

INR-18650S with green wrappers? I've seen them on Aliexpress for .88 £ per cell. I had one fail in 2021 in a two year old battery. I went thru the trouble of replacing the whole cell group with new cells. Over the winter, another cell failed. I think they have a mean-time-before-failure around...

Which of these two batteries for pack build?

Both cells can provide the 14A you might occasionally pull from a TSDZ2, I would chose the M50LT's because they might give me 4AH while the P42's are probably like 3.2AH. I figure we get 80-90% of the rated AH when a cell is used to run an ebike, I power my TSDZ2 on a 13S-2P using Sanyo GA's...

    1st Build With Reclaimed Batteries

My oldest batteries will be 8 years old this year, as they enter their 9th summer. THey're are in Dolphin cases, and were built per the standards of that time, with cells glued together with hot glue, shrink wrapped, and stuffed into the case with foam inserts. The foam has shrunk a bit and the...

    1st Build With Reclaimed Batteries

That BeMuchSafer BMS doesn't have any balance circuits. Until recently, none of their product did. Is balance needed? Not if you have good cells, and run them well below their max ratings, While I've had too many bad BMS from other brands, I've not yet had a failure with an Annpower BMS...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

Well, I had oddities like throttle not working and speedometer dead with the embrus that I wanted to go back tp ground zero and verify my motor still worked. i'm convinced the speed sensor works diffrent with embrusa as I have to redo the magnet spacing to get it working with the his firmware...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

It took a couple of runs thru the STM viusal linke before I understood what I was doing. I wiped out the original program and data files on the motor. Wish I had saved them off. The "stock files" from eco-cycle are not quite the same. Their tutorial should have had us save off those files from...

Help! help disassembling UPP EBIKE BATTERY !!

I woukd start my nippers on the negaive ends where there is no shirt circuit danger, Try to free enough strip so it can be rolled off the cell with needlenose pliers. It's probably niclel plated steel, knowing UPP. If it starts pulling the steel of the cell outward, you might be out of luck.

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

I believe the VLCD6 can do it too, but its awkward, Found a youtube video for the VLCD6, but I could not tell what the guy was doing because there were no words.. Today, I did "[x] Set parameter on startup on the configurator" and reloaded the TSDZ2. Now I could enter the mode change...

    TSDZ2 Conversion

Guerny, I've owned a BBS02 since 2016 on a mountain bike. Bafang's pas levels. even with the option for 9 of them, are a bit overboosted for my riding style. I need to ride at 12 mph with my wife or slower with regular bikers. PAS 1 on my BBS02 want to run a little faster. Best way to ride then...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

Put the TSDZ2 on a Raleigh Mixte about six weeks ago. This week I started testing the firmware options. I first got familiar with the visual STM tool to write the eco-cycle 48V "stock" firmware and the bike still worked. Today, I used embrusa's configurator tool with his current 48V file. It...

    TSDZ2 Conversion

I have to apologize that I missed the excellent thread on OSF/TSDZ2 elsewhere on this forum. Most of my OSF questions were answered there.

    TSDZ2 Conversion

Success! I put Eco-cyles 48V stock firmware into my older TSZD2 today. I believe it's the 750 version because the max current went up to 15 amps from 12 amps. It feels a little stronger in the assist, but needs more. I want to read the mbrusa manual before I load his all-out stuff. The new...
